Hometown Music

These guys are awesome!! I drove almost four hours out of my way to go to their store. I have purchased two guitars at this store. The first guitar I did not spend enough time with and the fretboard ended up being too small for my fingers. They worked with me to get that exchanged and to an actually better model. Recently purchased my first electric guitar (always been acoustic) and they helped with both recommendations and a really really great VOX amp! Have truly enjoyed spending hours looking at lesson videos and plan to go back to purchase one of their really great PRS Guitars very soon. Knowledgeable staff and just really nice people!

Great store! Knowledgeable and helpful staff. They are good at directing you to other options if you don't find exactly what you are or were looking for. It's out of my way, but has always been worth the trip,!

make sure you know what you're buying first. went here a long time ago looking for a good start in guitar playing and also looking for a better electronic keyboard since I am most skilled in this. a common trend among many music shops is that they will often show much more interest if you either have lots of money to spend or waste or if you are an experienced musician who is locally recognized or something. I was shown a 400$ guitar and a 700$ keyboard. they said that guitars below 400$ are usually not good, especially for beginners. and to get a digital keyboard that actually sounds good you don't want to go below 500$. I am not sure if this was true. their stuff appeared to be fairly good quality so probably they are correct. it's probably still a good idea to check beforehand. I know some music shops want a lot of money for complete junk.
