Very nice record store. It has enough of a clientele that there is a significant turnover in records. One thing I can't stand is going to a record store and seeing the same things over and over again ... that's not the case at this place. They also have a very extensive dollar and $2 bin

Great selection of new and older music. Nice variety of sealed and used records, and cds. Definitely worth checking out.

Visited Plan 9 earlier today and had a great experience.  Great staff who helped me find what I was looking for and reasonable prices.

Longtime indie record store that originated in Richmond, VA, and has gone through several locations in Charlottesville. The emphasis is on used physical media -- CDs, DVDs, Blu-rays and lots of vinyl. Some audio cassettes for anyone who remembers those, plus a small selection of movies on VHS. The store has the best inventory of used DVDs in town, well-organized both alphabeticaly and by famous directors. The pricing on these discs is all over the map, with some real bargains tucked among other discs with price tags that will leave you scratching your head.
