Ideal Pet Care

My dog got very sick on a weekend and this was the first time I've ever had an incident like this. I was at Ideal first thing Monday Dec 4th when they opened the doors. Immediately as I walked in the woman looked annoyed. She didn't greet me, ask about my dog, or show any concern. The sense I got was why are you bothering me right now. After the weekend I had just had with Salem trying to make it to Monday this was to say the least extremely disappointing. I've been taking my dog there for 3 years, since the day I brought her home. They told me that the doctor wasn't there yet. I asked if I could wait to see him because it was an emergency that I’ve been dealing with this unknown condition all weekend and I was desperate. They unbelievably told me no they were too busy. There wasn't a single patient there. I'm sure they had a busy day planned and I explained I wouldn't mind waiting but the expression on the woman's face let me know the moment I walked in the door she didn't have time for me today. She said they'd call me later that day and let me know when they could get me an appointment. Never even received that call by the way. Went to another clinic which ironically had people waiting in the lobby, was extremely busy, and they went out of their way to fit me in despite their appointments. My advice would be to care more and put yourself in your paying customers shoes. I take leaving a negative review very seriously but this incident was too much to tolerate. Maybe that one employee wasn’t representation of the whole business but the service and care I received that day was worthy of a 1 Star review.

I take all of my dogs there and I like the techs and the vet. For the most part reasonably priced. Dr Wright is knowledgeable and looks at things from all angles.

The staff is rude, and that is including the actual vet. They only care about making money. They also get irritated when you correct them. For example, my dog needed a rabies shot because hers expired, but the assistant kept insisting that I was wrong even when I was showing her the records from my old vet. The assistant finally listened to me and then had an attitude because she was wrong. The entire staff seem to lack appropriate knowledge. By far the worst experience I have ever had. Will never take my Pet back.

They are all really nice, very affordable and treat my dogs really well.
