Animal Emergency Clinic of the High Country

I have been going to this clinic for routine and emergency treatments for about two years now. Staff is great and I love that they treat pocket pets. They are very knowledgeable and explain treatment/diagnosis clearly. Have had several rats with very bad health conditions and when it got too bad to treat, we had to have them put to sleep. Our very old cat, as well. Each time the staff and vet were compassionate and accommodating while we spent the last few minutes with our pets. So grateful for this clinic and their staff.

Unfortunately I had to put my senior gerbil to sleep last night as it was the only humane option given her health problems. This clinic is the only clinic that treats "pocket pets" in the area and they fit me and Rosie in with less than half an hour notice. All staff very compassionate and kind, and really took the extra step to help me be as comfortable as possible with my decision. They made sure my girl's last moments were quiet and as comfortable as possible. The vet gave me a hug and condolences after my Rosie was gone. The techs were kind and even got my girl's footprints in clay and sweetly decorated the box her body went home in. While my heart hurts because of my girl's passing, the care she (and I) received was helpful.

The staff is so kind and fun. Great care for Phoebe, and her mom🐾 We feel better knowing we have this clinic if something happens on the weekend or after hours (seems to happen a lot in our life). Top notch care! Thanks

I called late night because I had clipped my dog's nail too short and it would not stop bleeding. They told me to bring him right in. I took him and got right in with some of the best group of women I have met. They were so accomodating, caring, and helpful. They fixed Mickey right up and were so sweet to him. I will not forget the compassion from this practice and will recommend to everyone. Thanks for all of your help!

Their statement " be assured that the health of your loved one is our highest concern and we will do everything possible to maintain that health" is very misleading. It would better read "we will do all possible to bill you". We had a very bad experience and hope no one would have to go through what we did with our beloved Conner. Their ability to provide a diagnosis is based on billing not finding out what was wrong.
