Good South Indian food. Excellent Coffee. Walls are decorated with very old Tamil film posters. Seating .antiqu bench/wooden tables. Few of the tables have front of the Auto rickshaws See pictures. Friendly staff
From the outside, this place doesn't look like much but the decor on the inside has been very well done. They have the 3 tire waala autos and a car in addition to the regular tables for you to enjoy your food. The staff was friendly, the service was fast, but the paneer could have been a little better. They have a delicious collection of summer drinks not just the regular lassi's... can't wait to go back.
The moment you step in you get a feeling you are typically in a local town bus stand somewhere in Chennai. The set up is very good with the buses and Autos used for seating arrangements is awesome. The food also flavors the Indian authenticity. We tried chapati and parota it was good. Price is OK. Most important is you can find Amma CM of Tamil nadu and the Style King Superstar Rajnikant as well.
Second time at ISC. Has a great ambience that is authentic to South India. Food is great with a lot of choices for Vegetarians and Non- alike. Go for the black pepper curry - You have to try it! The cucumber-mint 'cooler' is really a refreshing way to cool off. Have them add Ginger to it and it is even better. Meindoim Veraim!
Phenomenal Indian street food with a twist. After so many years after sampling cutlets in different parts of the us, I finally found the one place where the taste is near perfect after street food in India. We had : aapam with egg curry, chicken roll, cutlets, tea. Food was just amazing, and, we sat in an auto seat while eating!!
This place has great food. It has the ambience of an Indian street with half cut autos, ambassador and bus. The servers are very friendly. We really liked aloo tikki burger, watermelon chaat and corn chaat. Although expensive, aam panna also tasted great. The rumali roti was very thick. For some reason, they only use disposable cutleries.
Street ambience created with dining tables set in Chennai bus, Ambassador taxi and AutoRickshaws. Cinema posters on wall and cutouts of Rajni Kanth to add to the street ettect.Kids will definitely love the place. I am not going to give great reviews about the food and service. But would recommend checking out this place.
I would've given this place 3 stars if not for the décor. The décor is extremely hip - Bollywood movie posters, an auto-table !!. So if you're interested in that kind of stuff you should visit. It is bustling with people all the time. The chicken biryani and omelette is pretty good. I didn't like the Pav Bhaji.
Super cool place. The seating arrangements are for eating inside of authentic Indian street cars. They have the option of eating in a giant green street bus, a really nice yellow pickup, and some black and red 4 seaters. 10 out of 10 would recommend to a friend, and the food was amazing.
A unique Street Cafe which reminds you of South India back then! Film posters, big cut-outs of film stars, a tea stall-like set up, tables and chairs inside an auto, taxi are all the special highlights of this place! Food was delicious; I would give a 5 star for food and the presentation! Everything that we ordered was mind blowing!! It's a bit costly here.. like $$
