Host was very polite and friendly. Even explained about the food when it is served. Food is good. Ordered the platinum Thali. Price is a little high but quality is good. Portion is slightly bigger than my normal for this order.
We went during dinner time around 7:30pm. There were few people sitting and having food. Most people ordered Platinum thali and we ordered the same. It costed around $21. It was enough for one or two people with extra puri/roti. Taste was good especially the chole. There is also buttermilk in the thali but we didn't ordered it as we are lactose intorelant. Parking was there. Quick service. Restrooms are available Vegetarian options: Vegetarian Food Parking: Parking available
Wanted to try out Gujrati thali as I miss the authentic Gujrati flavours living in Toronto. I was excited and expectant reading the reviews and pictures for Rajwadi Thali. Unfortunately I wasn’t impressed by the flavours and taste of the Thali. The khaman dhokla was tasty, but it seemed a little stale. The Alu pakora was had a weird texture the potato filling was slimy and the besan coating was thick and doughyand it was served cold. The surti undhiya also seemed stale. The roti/ Puri were the only fresh items on the thali I felt. The dal and dahi kadi was good and Alu tamatar veg was decent. Paneer matar was decent too. The aam ras seemed from a can and the Shrikhand was slimy and sticky. They served half a papad which could have been at least one whole. No achar or salad as per thali norms. They didn’t have any other options for a thali and for $20 odd dollars a limited thali was very pricy. Secondly they serve only one menu day after day, makes me wonder the food quality and freshness. They only have the Platinum Thali, limiting the choice. Was disappointed by the experience. Wouldn’t recommend this place for food lovers of authentic cuisine . As an experience if someone wants to try multiple dishes on one platter then please do visit. Hopefully after reading my review the management may improve.
It was a good first experience to try a Gujarati thali. We ordered one Platinum thali and shared between two since we had other food hopping plans. But if you don't, then one thali is good enough for a single person. I enjoyed the chole, puri, paneer sabzi and khichdi the most. Aamras was basically diluted pulp I think so don't expect original aamras. Shrikhand was good. Not a fan of undhiyu, gawarfalli sabzi, amti and kadhi. It was a good one time visit though. Preparation was simple and not so spicy. We can cook most of it at home but the fun of having it all at once is what attracted us to this restaurant. Also, the fact that it's vegetarian Only! Parking: It's enough since this is located in a complex with multiple businesses. You can park anywhere in the viscinity.
It was amazing experience- a small place in Sunnyvale but the food was super delicious and amazing. Everything was served piping hot and had authentic taste. Fluffy ajwain puris, amras , shrikhand was just out of the world! Sabjis- cabbage, undhiyu, chole, paneer were made very nicley specially paneer was very tasty not like same tasting curry that we get in USA. Gujarati daal, kadhi and khichadi — superb too.. khichadi had extra ghee tadka from top with mustard seeds and curry leaves… yummy Rajwadi thali
I enjoyed the platinum Thali. It comes with 2 appetizers, 4 Curries, dal rice, kadhi- khichadi, buttermilk and 2 desserts. I liked all 4 Curries. Appetizers were okay...not great. Highlight was aamrus and undhiyu. Quantity was definitely more than sufficient for one person. Pav bhaji was good too. Service was quick. We went on a Sunday afternoon before noon. By the time we left, place was completely full and people were waiting outside. Vegetarian options: It is a vegetarian restaurant.
They have limited types in menu but the Thali is pretty good. Platinum thali serves 3-4 gravy, sreekhand, mango juice, khichdi, dhokla, rasam, kadrhi, daal vada, poori and rice and few more items. Overall taste is really homely and feels good after eating!
Tasty food. They let you share your Thali with your friends/family/partner. Masala khichdi is one of the best in thali! So much variety in plate. Place is bit small, so be ready to wait on weekends. Serving time very less though. Food comes to table in 5-7 minutes!
Calling out to my veg clan! This place is heaven for those seeking veg Thali. We have eaten here a few times and have always been amazed by the standards and the variety of dishes they have to offer. It’s pricey, I’ll admit but it’s worth it. Best time to go is on weekdays but there aren’t a lot of people. Their Thali is like virtually traveling to India and experiencing the best of all the dishes. It’s primarily gujrati but they have a lot of variety in their menu and have specials during festivals.
I’d give this place 3.5 stars. Although crowded, we were seated within 20mins on a busy weekend afternoon. The thali is plenty for one person, and could be shared by two if you’re not super hungry. Good variety of sabzis and dals offered. One less star for the interiors.. the place is crumbling, and there is paint peeling off the walls. They should also offer small containers for left over food. They only offer bigger boxes, which can’t really hold any of the curries/dals.
