Iron Lantern Restaurant

Nice restaurant with lots of great options, especially seafood. Large, winding old building with antique decorations and photos gives the interior excellent character. Large bar and lounge with occasional live music. Amazing salad bar with many, many items. Good food and service.

Based on other google reviews we decided to give this a try while staying in Rutland. We thought it was worth the drive, everyone was very nice, while the food and service were both excellent. This was a special occasion as we were celebrating a birthday in our group, normally we aren't able to spend quite this much on our outings. With that said, we felt everything was better than our expectations for this price range. We are going to visit again when family is in town to visit.

Great meals, well portioned. Awesome salad bar! Friendly staff, and we walked right in and had a table within minutes, even on a Friday night. We've been going for years, and will continue to do so!

Very nice small town restaurant. Excellent food. Never disappointed here. A slight bit pricier than it could be, but the quality is definitely there, so it's not a deal breaker. Soup, salad, and bread bar are the best around. One of our favorite restaurants.

Food is ok. Salad bar is good. I had to return my mixed drink because pretty sure they barely put a drop of alcohol in it.
