SO claims to be the best, Sent the steak back, got a appetizer to hold me off until I could get somewhere else. The steak was tough or steak knife very dull. The server was very professional and tried her best to accommodate. Offered free desert which was yummy. The reputation was only met by the decor not much else to offer.

It was a great restaurant. I originally found it on Yelp where the wait time was said to be 0 minutes. When we got there it was actually an hours wait. However, there queue system is great, you just give them your number and they text you when your table is ready. While you wait, you can sit at either of the two bars downstairs and order an appetizer as you wait. You can also sit and eat at either of the bars as they have full food service. We ended up getting our table in 25 minutes since many people turned down the table right in front of the stage. The music was a bit loud since we were in the very front, but the band was great! The food was delicious and the wait stuff were very friendly and helpful. As we left I received a text message thanking us for dining with them, which was a nice touch. Definitely a place I recommend.

Went with a group of 9; four couples and one single. Asked the waiter ahead of time, he said he could only do 3 separate checks (on a 9 top, with a POS system?). We decided that would be fine. He chose by seating arrangement who would be on which bill. He separated every couple. He told us it would be easier the way he was doing it so he wouldn’t have to “scream obscenities” when it came time for the bills. After taking orders, he came back twice to tell us two of the meals ordered were no longer available. Regular restaurant things. After waiting 20 minutes for the appetizer he dropped off the last of them and said “I’m going to put in the rest of your orders now”. Another hour and a half later the food came out. Everything was cold some came undercooked, some overcooked. A medium rare burger was rare, a duck came out rare - when asked about the duck the waiter said duck is typically served medium rare. Had to google that to make sure that was correct. It remained untouched. Side orders never arrived, which we chose to ignore. Other orders were bland and hardened (sitting too long?). After all of the complaining and mentioning how it was strange no manager had come over... still no management response. Us and the waitstaff just continued to annoy each other with our presence when all we wanted to do was leave.
HOWEVER prior to sitting, on the bar side: bartenders were great for a busy Saturday. Our drinks remained full, live music was incredible and the atmosphere was incredible.
Things could have easily been remedied by management presence and acknowledgement. While the worst two meals were comped, nothing was up to standards.
We also arrived at 830 and after waiting for disappointing food, slow service, and finally the check we weren’t able to get to a pizza place in time before they closed at 11.

Best place to eat on the mountain. This venue is more upscale so maybe don’t bring the kids. The service is incredible; the ambiance hard to beat. They have incredible food and a vast selection of fine wine. There is also an incredibly nice bar.

We chose to come to this restaurant after our hotel manager gave us several descriptions of places in the area to have dinner. I'm so glad we did. I do not use the word lightly, because I'm a believer that it doesn't exist, but this place was perfect! I've said this only once before, about a place owned by an Iron Chef. That's saying something!
Great atmosphere, friendly staff, spectacular service and amazing food! We were seated directly in front of the huge fireplace at a table for two in the dining room and could hear the live band playing in the tavern area behind. The band was on point, playing lots of great jazz and rock songs.
The staff timing was impeccable, neither to early where you felt rushed nor too late where you felt neglected. They were definitely on their A-game!!
The food.... Where do I start?! We had a half order (6) of New Brunswick oysters for an appetizer. Artisan bread with maple butter was provided and was delicious. The oysters were clean, so fresh, and butter soft. I ordered the lamb and my husband ordered the duck. Both came out cooked to perfection (there's that word again), the duck a black and blue style and the lamb wonderfully seared, both with amazing sauces to accompany them. Portion sizes were enough that you didn't feel overly stuffed but neither were you lacking anything. We choose the hazelnut chocolate bread pudding for dessert and it was beautifully presented with a flavor that was so balanced it was unreal.
Highly recommend coming here if you get the chance. Pricing was what you'd expect for this kind of meal without being outrageous. This is on our list of places we must return to when we come back to Vermont!
