I wish I could go less than one star or zero stars.
I am a diesel student currently enrolled and have been attending since April of 2017.
Terrible school. This school puts on a really good dog and pony show for you when you tour the campus. They will lie to you and tell you that you will work on Marine diesels, generators, heavy-duty, and light/medium duty diesels. That is a complete lie. You don't work on anything other than heavy-duty.
You do not graduate with ANY certifications, you will receive an "occupational associates degree" and in the technician world that means absolutely nothing. What you "learn" here is VERY elementary. Some of these instructors are not qualified at all and should not be teaching here. The administration keeps those instructors and gets rid of the qualified ones it seems. It doesn't really matter I guess really because they instructors do not actually teach anything (most in my experience) they give you hand outs and make you watch videos.
If you want a good diesel education then look somewhere else.
This school is a fraud in my opinion and a waste of money and time. I have no idea how they get away with it.
There is another diesel program in Jacksonville that is better and had I known about JTech I would not be going to school here.

If i could give this place a minus i would. The very first thing that was said to crst students was "dont walk ip behind me or ill punch you in the chest"by 2 instructors. The next message was dont complain about the so called "catered"food or we will send you home. You watch videos the first week. Then you stand on a carousel all day at 98 degrees and get into a truck twice to back. There are at least 21 people in your group with one truck. If you dont get after one time they start yelling. Even the so called church guys. The instructor from Tallahassee is a "go with the program" fake Christian.
Now the hotel. If you stay at the Days the bed bugs will not go away. They had a drug bust and prostitutes run wild when i was there. Nothing will be done because the "B"who runs the school , her sister runs the hotel and their Daddy is the D.O.T tester. What a racket! Go there and prove me wrong. Also you cant bring a cup. They charge 25 cents for theirs.

Things we like about the school.
1. The finance people work hard to get you financial aide.
2. Mr Bairde is very knowledgeable and a great instructor. He helps you understand the practical application of what you are learning.
3. The grounds are well kept and very neat which is a good indicator that the school cares about small details.
4. The Military finance coordinator is well versed on coordinating GI Bill and other military education benefits.
Whats to dislike? You make what you have of your situation. The school presents a well organized plan and they make it easy to learn. The only way you lose is if you chose to.
