Jack & Ginger's

Beware. Not good for a large happy hour group. Logistically too complicated at the end, especially after drinking. They charge an automatic 20% tip on parties of 8 or more. This policy is not advertised on the menu and is not communicated ahead of time. They set up the ticket for the table as a whole, instead of starting a tab for each person, like other normal bars. This is because they can ring you up as a party of 8 or more in the computer and charge automatic gratuity. As people came and went, as is the usual practice during happy hour, the waitress would close people out. Well, come to find out at the end of the night she messed up some of the earlier tickets, because it was set up as one large table instead of individual tabs. So... she demanded that those remaining pay for people's tickets that she had messed up. If they had just run tabs on everyone, this wouldn't have been an issue, BUT then they wouldn't be able to add the automatic gratuity. To me it just felt like a way to take advantage of customers at the end of a night of drinking. If they were really worried about people walking out on tabs they would have just run credit cards ahead of time.

Cool Irish style pub in northwest ATX in the North Domain. They have lots of local draft beers and a full bar. I didn’t count how many craft beers they have but if you check my photo of the outside bar taps, there are at least 30 in the photo – and it doesn’t show the entire bar length. They have plenty of table seating outside and inside and they also have a large bar area to sit at (inside and outside). I didn’t have any food, but I did scope out the menu. They have the usual pub fare; burgers, steak, bangers and mash, fish and chips, shepherd pie and more. Service was friendly and prompt. Great outdoor covered patio. Make sure you go inside and walk across the glass floor that is on top of the keg room below. It is really awesome - see my photo.

Decent place service was ehhhh. To start off this place Was not the cleanest. We had to find a seat ourselves there was no hostess. After waiting almost 30 minutes I finally had to track down a Server. After another 15 minutes we got our drinks. I'm a patient person I could understand if it was busy, But this place was not that busy the waitress was just not available. I give it 3 stars because of the drinks and Atmosphere

Very cool bar. The bartender was very friendly and talkative. We were from out of town and she gave us all the hot spots to hit up. Definitely will go back when I'm in town.

Hey, I'm an old guy looking for someplace not overly obnoxious to grab a beer or some food in the Domain and where do I go? Jack and Ginger's is about as good as you're gonna get with solid food choices and one of the biggest walls of beer in the area. Oh, and some of the best bar staff for sure.
