Fast service! 15 min wait on a Friday evening. Doctors are very caring and enjoy their jobs. Ive been to many other Hospitals and theirs has some of the best staff. I recommend this place highly. Not sure why they have so many low ratings.

This hospital has the most wonderful and caring staff. They make you feel like family. Along with a magnificent surgical staff. This is the ONLY hospital I will go to for all of mine and families medical needs.

This Hospital is one of the WORST. I came in for many different reasons. Vomiting, fever, nosebleeds, and dizziness were just a few of them. The Doctors act like nothing is wrong with you and they try to make you seem like you're delusional. I had lost a few pounds do to the constant vomiting and the fact that I could barely keep ANYTHING down and the Doctor tried to make it sound like I had an eating disorder!! When explaining my symptoms the Doctor was very dismissive towards anything and everything that I said. He treats his job like it's some sort of guessing game and when they finally diagnosed me he told me he wasn't going to give me the medication for the diagnosis. Very unprofessional. Looks like I'm going to a different hospital from now on.

Not a good Hospital. They don't have the resources to take care of a lot of issues that's why they're always transporting Patients Out. If there's a real emergency I will either have an ambulance take us to Winchester or I will drive there myself. All the staff there stereotype. I guess because this area is known for people abusing prescription medicine. They assume right off the bat that you're one of them. Not a recommended Hospital.

I have been a resident of the Jefferson community for two decades. On many occasions I’ve had to use this facility due to urgent crisises. I have 3 children, and I myself have a very unique and serious autoimmune disease that attacks my organs & nervous system! I am a regular patient of Johns Hopkins and survived several comas. I’m explaining this to give context to my latest horrific experience! The “physicians” which I believe are actually residents, with exception of one outstanding man who conducted himself completely opposite of the rest and was 3 times as busy, were dismissive, arrogant, and counterproductive! (Maybe I should say the leader of these residents fit that description and the rest were kind of just all standing there like students do... the “leader being the man of smaller stature and glasses .. I’m sure you know whom I’m referring to!)
I have had decades of experience with my illness and how to prevent episodes from leading into pulmonary arrest and coma! I was very verbal with this fact to ensure my proper treatment! Yet, these resident physicians literally lied, stopping my iv medication & ( Solu-Medrol) / saline solution!!! This is the printed treatment on my medical alert bracelet but they KNEW BETTER!!!! I had begun to improve with the treatment, but as soon as improvement started, I immediately began to worsen again... and got worse than when I came in!! I had to threaten to check myself out, and question the nurses as to my medicines .. finally I learned YES THEY CUT MY MEDICATION INTO ALMOST NOTHING!!!! All so they could say they were giving saline but it was maybe a bag change per day... and the steroids were no longer dispened! My Hopkins doc was PISSED! I was beside myself! They were paying with my LIFE, and for WHAT??? Why??? Lying!!! So the one physician returned and FIXED THE MEDICATION ISSUE!!! I again IMPROVED DRAMATICALLY! He comes back to check in with me, I’m doing great (I was in the ICU by the way on 6 Ltrs of O2) we even move me down to one ward under the ICU because I’m improving!!! Then the RESIDENTS returned, and what did they do??? THE SAME EXACT THING!!!! I WITHIN HOURS STARTED GASPING FOR AIR! I NEEDED THE OXYGEN CRANKED BACK UP! I NO LONGER COULD GET MOVEMENT IN MY CHEST! I STARTED GETTING WORSE AGAIN! I COULDNT UNDERSTAND WHY THIS WAS HAPPENING??? Then I had the new nurse REVIEW the medicine dispensed and how much.. and guess what? THATS RIGHT, THEY DID IT AGAIN!!!! Except this time it was antibiotics and the iv saline they stopped as well as the steroids!!!! Why was I even THERE!
So I had enough! MY HUSBAND WAS PISSED, I WAS UPSET, and the resident “head” comes into my room. He is condescending, and repeatedly says how “you women are emotional and hysterical! Stop being hysterical!”
Are you serious?
HE TRIED TO KILL ME NOT ONCE BUT TWICE AND ME SAYING IVE HAD ENOUGH IS HYSTERICAL?
Now mind you, I can’t be loud, or move much because I can’t breathe! So, Misogyny at its finest! Wow! Great job Jefferson! My FEMALE DOCTOR AT HOPKINS WAS DISGUSTED! THE NURSE WENT AND GOT THE PHYSICIAN WHO HAD BEEN TREATING ME! She didn’t say a word just went and got him as I was packing my stuff and grabbing my portable oxygen tank so I wouldn’t be killed! (FYI, THE NURSES WERE ALL MAGNIFICENT KNOWLEDGEABLE, CARING AND FRIENDLY! UNLIKE THE RESIDENTS WHO SHOULD BE GOING THE EXTRA MILE TO HAVE BEDSIDE MANNERS!) My son is studying medicine and I’m a retired medical professional! So in conclusion, your nursing staff is your backbone! (I of course brought them a huge basket of gifts thanking them for their kindness and hard work! I also made absolutely clear that the resident physicians that assisted me, were not to help themselves! No way!) I understand this is a “learning facility” but come on! This was really bad! I’ve also launched a series of complaints against an physician in your ER that you refused to address! You rather attempt to make excuses to cover his inappropriate behaviors and inadequacy‘s then have appropriate patient care! He was monstrous to my 11 yr old Patients BEWARE!
