Don't buy a Black Forest cuckoo clock from this place. They charge almost three times what you get them online for. I asked their cost on a cuckoo I have been interested in and could not believe the price. Online 170.00 in their store 400.00. Asked for a reduction in the price to give a local the business a sale and they would not budge on price. I told them I would even pay a little extra but still would not budge. So buy from Amazon and don't let this place rip you off.

I took my watch in to Joe's for a simple battery replacement - the first battery replacement I needed for this watch. To get to the battery, only four little screws needed to be taken out. When I gave my watch to Joe's, the man working there look at my watch and said it would be ready for pickup in 25 minutes. Once I came back to pick it up, the man working at Joe's told me he can't get the battery out because someone else had already tried and had stripped one of the screws, rendering the screw impossible to get out... which is funny because it was a brand new watch when I got it, and I had never messed with it to get the battery out. The man was very standoffish and did not directly look at me. It was clear to me that he was the one that stripped the screw. To strip the screw, the man was clearly not using the right tools to get the screws out. A logical person would stop right away when he/she sees that they are beginning to strip a screw, but this man was idiotic and completely stripped the screw. On the other hand, a good businessman would tell the truth and say that he was the one that had stripped the screw. Now I have to figure out how to get my watch to the manufacturer and go through a long process to get my watch working again. If you have a watch that needs a battery replacement that requires the removal of small screws, do NOT take your watch to Joe's Watch & Jewelry Repair. I wish I had read these reviews before going to Joe's.

I have amassed a small watch collection over the years and I come in frequently to change batteries on my collection of 254 watches. Joe's been doing batteries for quite some time now and he's kept everything in working order without much fuss. He's one of a few true watchmakers around that can repair or even make parts as needed on old mechanical watches. He was actually the ONLY watchmaker to service my Atmos clocks in the area. If you know any anything about timepieces, you know what PITA it is to service these clocks. It is an extremely precise mechanism and you need someone know whats they are doing to even take it apart. I have one in my office and one at home and they've been running for 5 years keeping accurate time. When my son used to work at the jewelry store in the mall, they would pay Joe to take links out of watches that were too difficult to take out, to make the sale. He is a man of few words but he knows how to fix watches.
