Johnnie's Tavern

This was our first visit to Johnnie's and it did not disappoint. It was a nice little place. Got "The Johnnie Burger" and fries. No frills, just a good burger. Service was great as well. Even though there was one bartender, he was very attentive to everyone.

A comfortable, low-key bar and restaurant with a great townie feel. Solid burger and fries + beer. Friendly staff. Hidden gem.Food: 5/5

Good burgers, good sides. Really like the friendly staff and small bar "dive" atmosphere. Based on other reviews, I was expecting a great, not merely a good, burger. Unfortunately, one can't get a burger cooked to order e.g., rare/medium rare/etc., and all burgers are cooked medium no pink in the middle. The burger had good flavor, and the variety of cheese options was welcome, but I feel it would have been somewhat juicier had it been cooked a little less.

Those burgers are no joke and the onion rings are done perfectly. Not over fried, not soggy, perfect size cuts and good crunch to the batter. The burger has a great flavor and juicyness. I don't know where they source the meat, but they sourced it well. Kid-friendliness: Saw families with small kids there at lunch. It might look like a dive bar from the outside, but inside has plenty of booths and tables and kids are allowed inside. Parking: You're pretty much parking right next to the railroad tracks, but the lot is large

This looks to be a family owned place, a little scary looking on the outside, but the service & food was amazing. The husband said if you want a great bologna sandwich don't waste your time on Waldo, Johnnie's is so much better with a little kick. Ask the bartender to make it like she makes hers, it's fantastic!Food: 5/5

One of our favorite dive taverns in Columbus! Prices are good and it just feels homie. Been going there for years - it is our happy place.

Stopped by for a quick lunch. Great burger & fries. The service was fantastic and the meal arrived promptly. Ordered the cheeseburger with fries and added bacon. Which was really good. $11.82 plus a $3 tip which seemed fair. For the youngsters out there you will see a phone booth inside the restaurant which is something you don't see every day. I'll be back again.
