Kathmandu Restaurant II

My first experience here was perfect. From the service by the staff. To the wonderful selection on the dinner buffet. Was pleasantly pleased. Would recommend to anyone with pallet for good food with just enough spice.

Amazing buffet. Perfect if it’s your first time trying Indian food, you can try some of everything and then go back up for more of what you like. Food was spicy and delicious.

I am not one to leave a review but today I literally had to run out of the restaurant it was so bad. My mother and I decided to give this place a try for her birthday. When we arrived we were greeted by a disorganized staff. Finally we had our drink orders taken. The waiter spoke very little English, which isn’t an issue but he never ended up bringing our drinks. We were finally able to make eye contact and he said from a distance “ready?” We said “yes!” He then walked away and never came back. As we waited longer we were able to enjoy the sound of their voicemail machine playing out loud in the restaurant. The last straw was when I looked over the separator wall and saw our waiter drinking directly from the water pitcher on the busing station. He literally had his mouth on the pitcher drinking it!! Idk if he had set aside a water pitcher for himself or if he was hoping no one saw, reguarldess it was so unprofessional. I was so upset by the whole experience we literally had to run out of the restaurant. I will not be going back ever!

Well, worth the money for the options in the buffet. Being a person of Indian origin and of considerable spice tolerance - these guys know how to burn your taste buds. Heads up on the chilli chicken - they will leave you senseless for a few minutes. Overall a good place, great location and good food. P.S: They're owned by Nepalese owners ( as the name Kathmandu suggests ), so they slightly vary from authentic Indian cuisine !

Best lunch buffet in town! It's great for business meetings and connecting with old friends due to its quiet nature. This place offers all-you-can-eat Indian and Nepalese cuisine at around $14 per person for lunch, in a central Boulder location near Whole Foods.
