Wish I could give this place NO stars. For the “Heart Hospital Of Louisville” they sure don’t care about their heart patients. My dad was admitted on a Monday morning for heart problems and has only seen the doctor TWICE in 3 days. Words cannot express how frustrated I am with the nurses and staff at this hospital. My dads heart rate has been around 140/150 for hours and the nurses haven’t even checked on him! When we tell the nurses at the desk they say they’ll be in but stay at their seat. What stinks even more is I know this hospital bill is going to be absolutely outrageous for sitting in a room and BARELY RECEIVING SERVICE. So upset and mad.
Excellent hospital, wonderful staff that provide the upmost care. Definitely the best hospital experience I have had.
Very horrible communication!!!! My mother had Heart Bypass Surgery, we asked if they had any restrictions on the amount of family who could be in the waiting room the day before surgery. We were told no, the morning of surgery we had 7 family members and were taken to the waiting room around 5:30am and told to wait their. Around 11am a man named Jay came through and said we are only allowed 2, 3 max family members in waiting room. We have had updates from staff and no one said anything that we were limited. Only this employee named Jay and he was very rude. He stood over us until we decided who would and who wouldn't stay. They had just came out right before he did and told us it would be an hour or less.
I want to thank the NURSES on the 5th floor for the excellent care and kindness given to my family member post heart surgery....as complication Can arise upon recovery,.... it was the Critical assessment skills of one Nurse, Thomas, who resolved the issue. This nurse went above and beyond to research and rectify a medical situation for my family member. This Nurse went above and beyond demonstrating his medical knowledge and psycologicial understading of the older patient Our family wants to thank U of L Hospital for their Caring Nurses.
Phone system was like a teenager created it. No access to a human without jumping through loops. Wanted to ask about parking validation and took three minutes on the phone just listening to message and instructions. Finally got a young lady who said she had no clue about parking. Senseless, but some things are expected in Kentucky. Proof that one should not wade in the gene pool.
My husband received amazing treatment from the doctors and staff at the Heart & Lung Center. He had been sent to UK hospital by Norton Hospital to be evaluated for a transplant or a VAD. UK deemed him untreatable. We were told that UK was the only center in the state doing these surgeries so we looked out of state. Three other facilities turned him down before someone at Humana tipped us off to Jewish. Drs. Slaughter and Alwar were optimistic from the start and were able to get him healthy enough to place the VAD. The surgery went better than expected and he’s on his way to a better life. We can’t thank them enough.
Grand scale presence as one enters the ramp onto the Interstate. Only visuals of the exterior. Perhaps the next time I visit Louisville there will be time to view the architectural and medical interior.
I was scheduled for a Open Heart Surgery today only to be called a couple hours prior to this serious operation and told not enough Nurses were there to work in the operating room or ICU.. This is terrible planning at employee scheduling I had stopped all medications and had prepped for surgery..stopped several medications and now told they will reschedule through my Doctor...I have tried call only to be given the run around....2 pm and still no call from anyone..I hope this does not happen to anyone else...still very sick and no calls. April 1 2019....
Although my sister "Deborah Logsdon " was only there over night before she passed on New years Day. She was treated with the most amount of respect than any place I know. She was unconscious the whole time but she was talked to and was explained things they were doing to her as if she could hear them. And they were very gentle. She was in the CCU and they treated all the family beautiful and there were alot of us there. They brought us drinks and chairs and Kleenex. And the Chaplain Ms. Janee was awesome. I just wanted to say thank you and God Bless you. Sandra Harper
Security guards are the most rudest , my son had hand surgery there today his ride was stuck in traffics let alone we live over hour away . This was a er visit also . The gaurd escorted my son off their property saying he has waited to long there for his ride he has to leave . That is wrong let alone someone that was sedated to have his hand fixed . Will never ever go there again
