King Windshields

These guys do horrible work. The last windshield I had replaced I had my wife pick up when it was finished and they convinced her that they could not replace the trim pieces that they destroyed because they were old but that it would not affect the structural integrity of the windshield. Well, perhaps it did not affect its functionality but it looked awful and they did not replace the windshield with one that had a tint bar across the top as the previous one did. I took the car back and demanded they replace the trim pieces which they did reluctantly, and turns out insurance did cover it all along but they did not care to ask before causing me the inconvenience to have to come back. Well, today I got another rock chip and the company who replaced it (not King windshields) just told me whoever did the last repair destroyed all the clips holding the cowl down and did not set the windshield properly. I don't recommend King Windshields, they have proven to me they just don't care about the quality of their work. Update to seller response: Yes, you did replace the moldings on 3/17/17 because I had to bring the car back and demand it! And of course you received no email or phone call about the broken cowls because the issue wasn't discovered until a more qualified technician came to my house to replace your windshield after it got a rock chip months later. I don't know why you can't accept the fact that perhaps an incorrect installation was done and contact me privately to address it but instead would rather try to refute it publicly. Also, this 3rd party technician sent out by my insurance company has no reason to "hurt you with his words" especially since the annoying rattle sound your windshield made is now gone right after he replaced it. The work King Windshields did was bad, and my review stands.

I bought a new windshield from King Windhields about a year ago. The first windshield, they butchered my inside rubber trim around the windshield. Completely cut up and hanging, so much that it swayed when I drove. They claimed I needed to request the inside trim when I get my windshield replaced (they didn't ask if I want to replace it, in my defense... Also, who doesn't replace parts they destroy?). I called and complained; they fixed it free of charge. Except they messed up the trim again, for some reason the tech installing my second windshield decided I needed a chunk cut out of the inside rubber trim and replaced with a random piece of rubber as a bump stop, for my non-existent tablet gps. Again, they never asked me, they just did. And I did not want this. I decided I would let it be and never come back here. I got a text this morning saying I agreed to King Windshields to message me. I do not recall, but I did not explicitly say I agree to them texting me. And I got another text later. Promping me to write this review.

They are very fast and generous. You get 100 dollars on the spot if you're totally covered by insurance. They will come to your house, but if you choose to go to them, they will throw in movie tickets or a free tinted visor on your wondshield.
