Kronborg Inn

This place is fantastic! Fast and friendly service, a very visually appealing look, and the rooms are AWESOME! Felt like I was starting in a 4 star suite. Definitely my new go-to when starting in Solvang.

You can stay in worse. Room was clean and location is pretty good. We easily walked to downtown. Kids loved the heated pool and hot tub. Continental breakfast was pretty standard. If you have any dietary restrictions I highly suggest picking up food from grocery store before getting to Solvang. Breakfast is waffles, cereal, toast, bagels, yogurt and bananas. Staff seem friendly. As many places you can criticize paint chipping on base boards or a worn out rug but overall we were happy with our stay and would book here again.

The rooms are over priced even for Solvang. Not very clean, in fact quite the opposite. The door doesn't seal properly (111) and it let in a draft and a good amount of light. The bathroom floor had what appeared to be gum stuck to it, although it wasn't sticky. The staff wasn't incredibly friendly as well. Spend your money elsewhere.

Great service, friendly people, good location within walking distance to Solvang. Nice convenience store right around the corner with a good wine selection.

The hotel was decent but left a bit to be desired. It is located in walking distance to many restaurants and shops in Solvang and has plenty of parking. The outside of the hotel, like many buildings in Solvang, has a nice Danish style. Our room was fair sized, two people in the room. The bed was big enough for us and had nice blankets. The room had a microwave and mini fridge in a cabinet. The fridge door had trouble closing as it kept hitting the cabinet hinge. Our rooms air conditioner didn't seem to do much, we had it on and turned to the coldest it would go and it was on for a long time with little effect. The room had a sliding glass door that lead to the pool area but it didn't have a screen so we couldn't use it to air out the room. We also had an issue with the vending machines. We got two snacks and a soda from the machines. All three were expired by at least one month. The heated pool and spa were nice, though the spa could use some work. The pool was a nice temperature and was fairly large. The spa was a nice temperature but was a but run down, some spots felt rough like the walls had broken or something. Overall our stay was good for one night, but I'd look elsewhere for extended stays.
