I enjoyed my stay at this hotel considering it was centrally located in Los Angeles and easy for me to access freeways. The pool and gym amenities are nice and there is a restaurant located inside the hotel.
The hotel was undergoing renovations during my stay and they began what sounded like tearing down the walls promptly at 8 a.m., that is why it's getting a rating of three stars.
Additionally, I requested a late check-out & they extended it to 1:30 p.m., & all of the hotel staff I encountered were very friendly & helpful!

I do not recommend that people stay here. The building is in a bad state. The downstairs common areas appear to be going through renovation, but its really all of the guest rooms that need incredible TLC: bathtubs with chipped paint, damaged lampshades, damaged walls, and generally a lot of work needed to make the stay at this hotel seem worth the cost. Staff were helpful, quick, and attentive and its no knock on them that the buildings owners havent taken care of the building.

No mineral battled water in the room. After we use the bathroom, the odor no way out remains in the room which is disgusting. This hotel is really old and needs renovations. The room was quiet.

I’ve stayed in a lot of holiday inns. Some great, and some not so great. This is by far the worse one. First impression of it, you have to pay for parking! I realize it is LA, but $20/day seems excessive. Once we got passed the long line to check in, we were given the keys to what we thought would be our room. We were shocked to find out upon opening our room door, there were GUESTS currently occupying the room!! Unacceptable! It was uncomfortable for everyone. When we went back in the front desk to complain, they gave us a half-ass apology and were not surprised, seems like this is not the first time this has happened.... what’s worse? Breakfast is not complimentary. Save yourself a bad experience and your money, and don’t give them your business.

1200 midnight checkin after a 7 hour flight...gave me a noisy room next to the elevator. 200am...changed rooms. 700am...loud banging on plumbing awoke me.
Nice front desk guy did his best. But at 753am, still banging on the plumbing.
No rest to be had...a real waste of money
