A historic hotel in Riverside CA. I stayed two nights. Bed was comfortable. Bathroom modern. Found it a little noisy. Could here guests in the rooms on both sides of mine. Great restaurant. Room was decorated to match the historic nature of the hotel. Area around the hotel has a few interesting things to explore.

The mission inn is probably one of my favorite places that I've been to in riverside. The hotel restaurant, bar is located on a main stretch in riverside and happily so. The group j was with got there at a great time on the weekend when there was free parking at a deck nearby (valet costs a bit of money) . We got out, strolled through the city and ended up here to check out the historical landmark. The walkway going to and into the complex was lively with people waiting for valet service, eating at the outdoor restaurant, and Taking photos of the birds at the front of the hotel /spa entrance. Walking in you're met with an opulent space filled with chandelier, granite flooring and beautiful mosaics. To the right you have the president's lounge and stairwell up to the rooms. Strut ahead you have the outdoor Cafe. To the left you have the lounge / bar and the restaurant, all of which have original paintings and beautiful sculptures. The plants were wonderfully area he'd and everything was top class. From someone who spent only a few moments there doing a quick sight seeing venture, this inn was very, very worth our time. If I ever stay, I'll be sure to mention the rooms and the service but I doubt so many others would be wrong.

This is a place where you feel that you went back to a palace at a mid century.
It is very old style.
You have to appreciate Art and love to go to an unusual places to stay here.
I drove couple of hours to visit here.
I would drive more hours to stay here in the future.
It would be a perfect place for photography.
I wish I brought a professional camera with me.
Give yourself to go all around and see all the floors including the beautiful roof.
Taking wedding pictures here would be a magazine style easily.
Flowers are everywhere.
The room was big with 2 queen size beds, but they have smaller ones.
You will find some parts of the rooms are unusual design.
The toilet in our bathroom was too close to the wall, the bathroom was a good size though.
But it is okay.
This was not originally built to be a hotel.
I don't think it will be the best idea for young kids.
A lot of unsafe balconies out of the rooms.

Just perfect. All serving staff was very nice food delicious. I stayed on room 419 which is architecturally spectacular. Made my Birthday very special. My server for breakfast Tiffany was truly exceptional. I even went and purchased her a small gift to thank her for her attention to detail. Would love to see the eggs Benedict with crab back on the menu.......

I love this hotel. The grounds are breathtaking and the property itself is stunning with treasures in every corner. That said, let me set you up for success on your actual stay. Do not book a room on the first floor. The front desk was gracious enough to change our room due to the noise that comes from the kitchen and dining areas just below the balconies. Do bring an extension cord--our re-assigned room was lovely but, as is the case with older hotels, the bathroom outlets are not always convenient. Also bring a hair dryer--despite the fact they are to be found in room, we never located one in either suite.
