La Casita

The service was amazing. We got there for dinner and it was a little busy but didn’t have to wait for a table. We told our waiter that we were in a bit of a rush to get to a movie and were able to be in and out in about 30 minutes! The waiter got us our food so quickly! The food was good, not the best Mexican I’ve ever had. But for the price and service I’d definitely go back.

This place is fine. They always pretty busy but they handle it very well. If there is a wait its usually 15 minutes or less. Servers are generally prompt and efficient but don't get in the way. In my opinion the food is always "fine." Nothing special (not even the "specials" I have tired) but its delivered quickly and arrives hot. I'd say this would be a great place to go with a group when you are not sure if everybody likes "Mexican" food. I think all will enjoy the Mexican atmosphere while finding that the food tastes American enough for anybody's tastes. Maybe saying its "Perkins with a sombrero" is doing a bit of a disservice to La Casita, but you get the idea...

Really good Mexican food, very fresh. Friendly staff and nice atmosphere. We like coming here. Fajita salad was really good.

I'm always surprised at how much I enjoy the food here, it really takes me home to Texas. The tamales are my favourite in Minnesota. My only disappointment is that the salsa bar seems to have declined in quality and options on my recent visits though it's understandable. The queso on menu fills it out nicely.

On 5/29/18 a friend and I went to lunch there because previous experiences had been delightful!. Today, at noon, business was slow as was our waitress. I ordered the Shrimp tacos and was told they were not spicy - they were terribly hot. My pina colada was full of large ice chunks and we were pretty much ignored by our waitress after we complained that we could not eat the tacos. I am very disappointed with the experience today. I don't think Kim enjoys her job.
