Acapulco Mexican Restaurant

Good food. Good portions. Great chips. Service left quite a bit to be desired. Prefer servers to clean tables as they go, offer water, and check back often to see if anything else is needed. Half the food was served first, with no silverware. The second half of the tablet got food late and one was given chicken when they ordered steak. Would eat here again, but would probably order to go.

Usually fast menu service, usually strong pours. They do have an "off" day now and then, but overall, a decent place for food and drinks. Generous portions.

Just a background on my family. I served in small and corporate hospitality restaurants for 6+ years. My brother 10+ years, serving and managing. My sister 15+ years as serving and managing. Just came back home from having dinner with my sister, baby niece, and brother. It was actually my first time here, and it was nice and close to home. I thought the waiter was nice, not fast, but a slow speed on a not full restaurant day. Understandable as he had like 7 other tables, the restaurant should probably have more servers on the floor. The servings were actually pretty big, so that was awesome for the price. Down to it though.... My brothers waffle sweet potato fries were not hot, barely warm. I told the server if I could substitute beans for more rice, the food runner brought out beans with rice with a really hot plate, as she told me. I told her I wanted rice not beans, she brought it back. A different host/food runner brought out the rest of my dish along with the fajita plate. The rice wasn’t even warm, but not cold. Just room temperature, not so great. As the person was wearing a oven glove, he tried to set down my fajita plate, the iron slid off of the ceramic plate and headed towards me. Good thing I was wearing a long sleeve sweatshirt, and I pushed back the iron plate towards the table. I also found two shrimps in my chicken fajita, I’m not allergic to seafood, but the kitchen should be careful next time just in case some other person is. I’m kinda disappointed that the food runner nor the server told the manager; or they did but the manager should’ve came by and just checked up on us. My chicken fajita didn’t have enough fajita flavor either...so I’ll have to buy some fajita seasoning and cook it some more at home... 1 star for the server 1 star for the portion size 2 stars total

Their food is great, and prices are decent. Only thing I'm upset about is that their cheese sauce is $5 or so per little cup. That's ridiculous. It's delicious though, so I still buy it. 😂 My last visit, we ordered meals for three, TWO cups of that overpriced cheese, and the bill was still only about $40. We all left with leftovers, by the way -- you get a lot of food for that approximate $10/person.

Delicious food, generous portions, and wonderful staff! They definitely have a great establishment. I won't hesitate to swing in next time I'm in the neighborhood
