Maya Cuisine

Nice little authentic "home style " restaurant with 4 different seating atmospheres. Front is like a Chipotle restaurant style, center is more for larger or family groups. Back of the house is full service with a Bar. Outside of the back is a cute patio seating area. Cons are parking is slim to none, bathrooms are tiny and dated. Food is maybe a 2.5 out of 5. But a fun little place that feels like a restaurant in Mexico.

Great local gem. Good food, more vegetarian friendly than I had expected. Salsa bar is well set up so you can figure out your own condiments. My only tiny complaint is I wish they had fountain sodas instead of cans.

I thoroughly enjoyed Maya. We arrived 15 minutes prior to close. They were happy to greet us and provide what some might refer to as the most legendary customer service across all the lands. Suffice to say: it was lit. Man. Can you say, "delicious?" I can. "Delicious." Maya has delicious food. I got a taco, just one. It was pork and rice and sour cream and red sauce and cheese and onions and more. Wow. Wow Let me tell you that some of the best that I have ever ate was when I ate at Maya, my friends. Beautiful architecture and design. Gorgeous surroundings, inside. I felt at home. I was I would highly recommend eating at Maya, their food is absolutely scrumptious and fairly priced. Tell a friend about Maya!

I don't know if my experience was just an off night but I wasn't impressed with the food. The service and the ambience was quite impressive and why I'm giving the experience 3 stars. I took a friend from out of town here, excited to finally check the place out because I'd heard so many great things. It was disappointing. Our food was okay but It is nothing I would rave about and I probably won't go back any time soon.

Great find in NE Minneapolis! Quick serve up front, lovely bar and full serve restaurant in back. The waiter John was terrific. Food was fantastic. Great chips and salsa, and guacamole. The pollo con mole is amazing. 4.5 stars!
