One of my new favorites in West St. Paul, MN. The food is delicious. We had, three Carnita tacos, three Chicken Tacos, three Queso-Birria Tacos w/Consume with Chips & Guacamole...Delicious!!! Definitely worth the visit and full of satisfied customers. Also, thought it was worth taking a picture of the Delicious Ceviches next to us. Parking: Parking lot and on-street parking, no parking issue.
It was my first time coming here, and I couldn't be happier. This place is energized with authenticity and flavor. Taco Tuesday is $2 tacos! We are saying authentic street tacos filled with great portions of marinated meat. I loved the carnitas! Al Pastor was absolutely delightful. The Asada was tasty. Seriously, you can't go wrong..... Then there was the margaritas . . . I love my coronita's, but I will say the mango margarita with the chili Limon was a favorite. It was such a lovely sunny day. They had the doors open. Great atmosphere. Love this place.
The food ranges between okay and slightly above average. Drinks are good. Service always seems to be a bit on the slower side unfortunately which negatively impacted their ratings. The atmosphere is the same as just about any sports type bar. If you didn't have any adult beverages you would have a fairly reasonable bill especially on Taco Tuesday! There also appear to be some decent happy hour specials however I never seem to make it to any restaurant during happy hour.
The food was authentically delicious. I loved the atmosphere, very upbeat live music and singing. This place is a total vibe. A must visit if you are in the mood for great Mexican food in St. Paul!Food: 5/5
The food was fantastic! Best Carne Asada and Birria dishes we’ve had in the city! The staff has personality and knows how to balance service and privacy at parties. This place has earned our best rating in the city and is our number one spot now. Kid-friendliness: My 6-year old who has social communicative issues had a blast. Wheelchair accessibility: Pretty easy and the facility easily accommodates wheelchairs.

This West Side Sports Bar & Grill was a treat! The food was delicious and the service was friendly and accommodating. We were a party of 6. I had street tacos ala carte. My niece ordered the Menudo and said it was perfect. We also ordered guacamole, queso and chips for the whole table and that made a great appetizer for the whole table. The chips are made fresh and sprinkled with chili-lime salt... Yum! The guacamole was delicious considering it's mid-March in MN! The Horchata was refreshing and cool and was made 'from scratch' - not a mix. I didn't try the marguerita but it was huge and was happily shared around the table. There were 4 screens playing different sports, including futball and women's college softball. The music was recorded - it was lively and loud ... mostly Mariachi and Mexican rock?. Parking: Not sure if the street parking is free during the day. We went on Sunday evening and both cars found parking easily. The lot surface is bumpy, so I'm not sure how a wheelchair would do. It is on the first floor - no steps at the entrance. One of us used a rolling walker and was easily able to navigate the front door, but I'm not sure if the door is wide enough for a motorized wheelchair.
Food was very good, but service was TERRIBLE! Diana was our server and she maybe had 2-3 other tables and the restaurant was not busy. It felt like she was neglecting our table on purpose we would try to get her attention and she would walk away. We were charged 18% gratuity even though we didn’t order much food, I would not have tipped her if I wasn’t forced to. I’ve never had such bad service or felt the need to write a review, but it should not have taken her almost two hours to fulfill our order when her other tables came after us and ordered more food and their orders came before ours…
We had a great experience at La Costa! I had the enchiladas with green sauce, and my husband had the skirt steak. The sauce on the enchiladas had a great kick of heat. Not too much where it is overpowering, but enough to open up the sinuses. The skirt steak was delicious also, and there were plenty of leftovers. Our server was great, the weather outside on the patio was perfect, and we had a great time. We'll definitely be back!
They have amazing margaritas and great happy hour specials! There is outdoor seating in summer months and they are wheelchair accessible. I had the mole chicken enchiladas and they were very savory and tasty! They give you lots of food. The churros were also so yummy! Our server was very nice and SO accommodating! It's not s huge restaurant, so reservations might be a good idea.
