Very nice corner spot. I was excited to try this because it was Mexican food but it seemed more like a fusion spot. The food was good overall and I would recommend it, Although pricey. The octopus had a texture that was very odd to me. I love Octopus for its chewy texture, but this one wasn’t. It was very mushy and lacked the chewy texture. I didn’t care for it but the flavors were good. Unless your kids eat everything you eat they didn’t have a kids menu. They did however accommodate us by making us a quesadilla for my 3 year old. Child friendly drink ware would’ve been nice too but they only had glass. Overall I would recommend trying but personally would go to other spots before coming back.
Best Mexican food I’ve ever had! Cocktails were on point as well. The menu seemed authentic, and creative. I wish we could have tried everything. We had the salsa flight, elotes, NY strip, and the wood fire grilled chicken. Every bite of every course was delicious. The food was spicy which was amazing, but might not be for everyone. Our server Keely was genuinely friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. Dine here ASAP!
First visit- I love near this place and never even paid attention to it. It's a nice little hidden gem! The service was good, and the food was excellent. Although I wish they would give you more than 2 tacos per order. I also enjoyed the drinks. I am looking forward to going again for happy hour, and hoping to try some more of the menu items.
Delicious Mexican food and drink in a chic atmosphere. I got the birria tacos and they were awesome. Unlike anything I’ve ever had before. Also tried my partners carne asada and it was also delicious. Only got four stars because service was slow, my water was always empty, and I asked for more chips but never got them. Would still recommend though! Awesome place
I met two other ladies here for dinner and everything we had was delicious. I started with the habanero cilantro margarita, which had great flavor and a nice heat to it. A little spicier than some other habanero margaritas I have had. Three of us shared the brussel sprouts as an appetizer and side, which quantity wise worked out great. Each of us ordered two tacos, which was the perfect amount of food. We ended up sharing so we could try other tacos since you have to order two tacos of the same kind. The birria is a little heavier since it is deep fried but very flavorful. The chicken tinga also was great. I have an avocado allergy so the kitchen was able to put the avocado salsa on the side for others who wanted it. Even without the avocado, it was still juicy and flavorful!
Being a CA native, I've been on the hunt for great Mexican food. I heard great things about this restaurant and decided to try it for a special occasion. The restaurant is smaller but had a great sized bar and plenty of tables. It was busy for a weeknight, however they had just one waitress, one bartender and a couple of food runners. I had the salsa trio, rolled tacos, and elote. The food was delicious however the service was so slow it really killed the vibe. I was hoping to try a couple of the specialty cocktails but the poor waitress never made it back to me after my food was on the table. Disappointing service but the food was great so I will try this place again in the future.
Pajarito is situated inside a nicely refinished space in an eclectic, vibrant community that is experiencing revitalization. West seventh has been through many iterations throughout its history and it’s finally coming through the other side again. Places like Pajarito are exactly what W. 7th St. needs. The place is packed on a weekday night but the service was great. We were seated right away and receive drinks within 10 minutes. There’s a sufficient beer selection and a great craft cocktail list which is revised seasonally. We had a margarita and found it to be well balanced and flavorful. The nachos and salsa fly or a surprising star with an option of three sauces per flight. The chips are definitely made in-house and we’re fresh and perfectly salted. I would stop in just for beer and chips. Our entrées included Birria tacos and tuna tostada. Both were delicious and nicely composed. The Birria had a unique and fun construction as it was surrounded in cheese. The tuna tostada had a nice citrus and refreshing finish. My only suggestion for the dish would be less sauce. I felt that it was a little smothered and that the fish could breathe a little bit. Dessert included an absolutely stunning spicy chocolate pudding that was wonderfully dense, spicy, creamy, and perfect. We will stop in just for this dessert sometime it was that good! Pajarito adds a 4.9% surcharge to all guest checks it is not for employee service. No issues parking off street. Put this place on your list you won’t be disappointed.
Outstanding! Service was attentive, thorough knowledge of the menu and menu ingredients. A must try are the Brussel Sprouts, Queso and the dessert! The Paloma was amazing!Hands down the best Mexican restaurant I have had yet! 10/10 recommend
Unique tacos- I tried the Carne Asada which was pretty tasty. Also enjoyed chips and a salsa sample. A highlight of my experience was the bartender’s greeting as we entered and left- he was very friendly! Table service was “okay”- they accidentally brought out two plates of tacos for me and realized they made a mistake so took one back- that was kinda awkward. Like if you accidentally brought out too many- just leave it there, don’t pick it up and bring it to the next table
Gross overly sauced food. Service was very slow and inattentive. Drinks tasted as if they were mixtures purchased from the liquor store. Adds a 5% surcharge that isn’t gratuity, which is predatory and should just roll into the price. Went with a party of 6 so we tried a lot of items and the only redeeming dish was the tostada.
