What a great hike. Have done a lot of different trails all over Washington. This one, I had my daughter on my back which was about 45 pounds. It was a mix of everything... lush forest, multiple waterfalls, bridge crossings, rocky traverses, snow, ice, and a beautiful lake at the end. Highly recommend this one.

Trail is nice, not too intense, scenic, I didnt see much of the lake on a cloudy day but it was still great. I went on a cool weekday morning the first weekend in May and the lot was still 3/4 full though. So pick an off day if you don't like crowds.

A variety of scenes, steady mild climb, and a gorgeous view up top. the trail itself is fairly rocky so hiking shoes help. And there was just enough snow on the trail that it should melt by tomorrow.

Trail is deceiving. Flat and easy for 10 minutes. Then changes to step uphill and muddy. Followed by rocks. Then snow. All for spectacular views of Lake 22 at the end. Get there early; limited parking.
