Visiting from South Florida, I visited this particular Safeway as it was on the travel path to and from my hotel in Seattle, Washington. And on this day, it was was Cheep Cheep Chicken Monday.
Having shopped for a few items to store in my hotel refrigerator, I ended up in the deli in search of something quick and easy to eat. After a few moments of "window shopping," a deli clerk by the name of Maggie inquired whether I wanted to try the 8 pieces of chicken at $4.99 - a bargain offered on Monday. Advising her that I was from out of town and did not have a rewards card, Maggie advised that she would give me the chicken for the posted price.
Score one for the hungry people. I'm used to "rewards" shopping so I snapped up a few candy bars and cheese since Maggie had an extra rewards card behind the counter. This would save me a few bucks.
Maggie advised that my choices were fried or baked chicken and that the baked chicken just came out of the oven. I took her advice on freshness and ordered the 8-piece baked chicken.
Chicken was a bit on the small size but pretty tasty. I ended up eating 4 pieces for dinner and the other 4 pieces the next morning for breakfast. Cut up and thrown inside the french bread I purchased, it worked out okay after being microwaved for 45 seconds. Dining on a budget, so say Bill Lewis.
Store was clean and staff were polite - plenty of parking. They even have a Starbucks inside, although it was already closed at my late time of shopping.

On a business trip and needed to pick up a few snacks and meals for the week, Safeway was the closest to the hotel. It was extremely clean, well organized, and well stocked. I found everything I needed - and more with some wicked sales! Always impressed with Safeway's quality.
Shoutout to Skylar who was an absolute legend tending to the self check outs. There was a constant flow of customers and he managed and organized the chaos with charm and generosity. He was totally on the ball, made sure he offered everyone the bingo card, went to find the score board for us and helped us with the club card. Please make sure he gets some recognition for doing a stand out job!!

If I could give 1/2 a star I would. Shopped here for 20+ years and seen the customer service go down the tubes, along with quality of product - not good when you can smell the mould in the air the minute you walk near the produce section. Furthermore, management could seem to care less. Left on hold for 7 minutes then disconnected trying to contact customer service. This lack of caring is further exemplified by the complaining one is apt to hear from the cashiers and checkers whilst waiting (for a long time) in line. You know its bad when the employees couldn't care less who hears them complain about the store management. Pretty much says it all. Fred Meyer, here we come!

Typical Safeway. Can be a little expensive, and customer service is severely lacking in motivation. Also, lots of shoplifting going on. I'm in here daily and they always someone bursting through the front door in full sprint, with store manager hot on their heels. Great for people watching!
