Landmark Nursing Center Hammond

Describe my experience? My experience with my loved one at this facility has been terrible. When my family toured this place the director put on a good "dog and pony show" for them, claiming he knew all the patients names, my loved one would be on the Skilled Nursing Facility wing and he would get the best care. That was so far from the truth I don't even have words for it. My family member was supposed to go to the Skilled Nursing Facility wing because, upon discharge from the hospital post stroke, he was able to do things for himself, feed himself, use the urinal, etc. Once at Landmark, they put him on the long term wing and told him he was total assist, he couldn't do anything without help. We tried to get him moved to another facility but due to the fact that Landmark's "outstanding" physical therapists gave their not so expert opinion and made the note that he was total assist, the other facility would not admit him. My family member is in the dining hall every night, feeding himself! He would use the urinal if he didn't get fussed at for making a mess. It's a damn nursing home, messes are going to get made. I strongly urge anyone taking the time to read this, DO NOT put your loved one in Landmark.
