Such a beautiful plantation. After so many years of wanting to go, I was finally able to visit. I am so glad people found the necessity to restore this home. I would have enjoyed lingering a bit longer. The staff was very knowledgeable & ready for the many questions we were asking them. They were not even upset when we began sharing our comparisons/contrasts of the surrounding plantations. I absolutely enjoyed it. Money & time we'll spent.

Just left our visit to the plantation and although it may have been a great experience we grew disappointed with the results. We were deciding which plantation to visit and spoke to the woman in ticket sales. Although we arrived just after 4 she assured us we had plenty of time to visit the exhibits. When our tour was finished we saw the sugar cane flick and the civil war tent was already closed up. Our grandson was very disappointed and we had asked specifically if it would be open. A young tour guide saw our disappointment and she was kind enough to unzip the tent and spoke at length to our grandson and answered his questions. I wish I remembered her name. We finished looking in the slave quarters and headed to the gift shop and it was already closed. Buyer beware!! If you are interested in seeing everything and then exploring the gift shop get there by 2:30 or 3:00 because although she says they’re open until 9:00, that only means the outside areas. I gave 3 stars but would be 5 if we were given more honest information. Deb and family ( Massachusetts and Florida)

Oak Alley was magnificent... aw inspiring. The grounds are beautiful and well maintained. The trees are old, enormous, and lovely. The house also seems to be well maintained, and our guide was very informative and open to any and all questions. This was, by far, one of my favorite things we did while in Nola.

Great place and plantation to visit. The house is cool but the oak alley is beautiful. The trees are 300+ years old and everything is very well kept. The gift store is nice and there is a cafe that has food options. If you want to see a plantation in Louisiana come to Oak Alley Plantation. The drive was a bit from where we stayed in New Orleans but the shuttle to get us wasn't bad.

Amazing place. Not only you learn how slaves and masters lived on this plantation founded in the 1830’s but also you can enjoy the stunning views of the Oaks Alley in front and back of the beautiful mansion. There is a guided tour inside the mansion where the guide informs you about its history and you can see original artifacts. Outside you roam the very beautiful plantation on your own. There are also adequate parking lot, gift shops and restaurant. Unless you come with tour company you buy the ticket at entrance which I did. I drove myself there. Easier and cheaper than booking through tour company. Entrance fee is $25 per adult with discount for seniors and children. If you were in New Orleans do not miss visiting Oak Alley Plantation. You can take stunning pictures. The oak trees/alley are amazingly beautiful.
