My "mother" has lived on her own for 96 years. After experiencing bouts of dizziness and falling due to A-Fib, we needed to find a place where she would feel loved, safe and secure. We found that at Landmark. From the moment I connected with Ashley in admissions and Amy in finance to help us navigate Medicare, etc., we knew this was a place in which we would all feel secure. My mom has been there for just a month, but loves the attention she receives from all the medical staff, the tasty food that is selected based upon her preferences (extra cornbread, please) the smiling faces and loving, caring touch. As I live out-of-state, I am also thankful for the regular communications from Bridget and the other staff on any matters impacting her care. My entire family is so pleased we can make sure she gets the care she deserves after caring for us all these years.

My grandmother lived here for several years, with Alzheimer's. On the night she died, her hospice nurse thought that her breathing was labored and asked the staff to call her family, because it seemed like she might be going. No one called. Later that night, my dad got a call from Landmark. "I'm calling about Mrs. Pitts. She just died. I don't know who you are: her brother, son, whatever, but she's dead."
The staff here isn't abusive, that we saw (though we considered installing a hidden camera after her clothes kept disappearing), but at least some of them are inattentive and callous at best. I encouraged my father to sue after they ignored the hospice nurse's advice to call her family the night she died, but he didn't want to deal with it (so far).
If you have any other choices, keep your loved one away from this place. Their patients are nothing more than items on a balance sheet.

Well kept grounds. Canadian geese winter here. Black ducks are born and stay here year-round. Interior decorated with great taste. Sunday 10 a.m. interdenominational church service. Usually have people residing here who are a hundred years old or more. Currently have one 102 year old lady one 98 year old lady, And two 96 year old ladies attending church service along with 18 other elderly, youngest is 77 years old. More women here than men. My mother has been here eight years. She is quadriplegic from a major stroke.
