Lassen National Forest

My family loves the forest. it's amazing what you can see when you just put the phone down. We love to do nature and often go on Hikes through Lassen National Forest. Occasionally you can see foxes at night you can hear the crickets chirping and even frogs croaking. Nature has a beautiful way of making its own music. And it's nice to get away sometimes from cell phone service and Society. I suggest you go check it out for yourselves. Spend some quality time with the family.

One of my favorite parks. Not many people know about this place. It has wonderful places for camping or hiking. Great for skiing during the winter.

This is a beautiful place to get away from the hustle and bustle of the crowds in other National Park areas!! So peaceful. We saw Four bear!! One single one and the next day a mama and two cubs!! They were beautiful! So be careful. They are around! There are some nice dispersed camping sites as well as campgrounds. There is a fee for the campground. Senior Pass is half price.

Great short cut to get to Redding from Reno! Except during the winter. The roads are absolutely horrible if there's been any snow or rain. Craziest black ice I've ever had to deal with. Saw multiple cars spin out, saw a couple wrecks as well. One of them ended up upside down. Had a few close calls myself as well. I think it will save you around 45 minutes to one hour of the conditions are good. If they're not it'll cost you a couple to a few extra hours. No reason to cruise this way during winter months unless you live here or you want to freeze yourself camping.

Absolutely beautiful, clean rest rooms, sites are separated enough so you are not on top of your neighbor, plenty of fire all cut. Very nice area
