Such a fun place! Mudding at it's finest. But the trees up there gave us some dirty looks so we "took care" of it.. mafia style. But such a beautiful area!

This National Forest includes some great car camping, such as at Letts Lake, and amazing backpacking in the Snow Mountain Wilderness area. While less than a four hour drive from the Bay Area, this recreational area is much less crowded than the Tahoe and Yosemite areas, while offering visitors a wonderful nature experience. Although I don't drive a motorcycle or quad, there are also popular trails for OHV enthusiasts.

We spent New Year's weekend here. A friend actually has a local cab in that we were able to utilize. It was fantastic weather so despite the very chilly temperatures we were still able to get out and about and go exploring. Four wheeling motorcycles lots of Wildlife extreme beauty of nature you just can't go wrong.

Great for dirt bikes. Cool dispersed campsites, but not as private as I like. Can't really "get lost" although you can get turned around. Lake Pillsbury is great, saw a huge herd of Tule Elk
