Lawrence Junior High School

This school is a joke. My daughter has been picked on and bullied by the staff. Ive been up there multiple times and cant have a decent conversation with the dean, assistant principal or the principal. Why they still have jobs is baffling. They have no people skills at all. And the way ive heard them speak to children is unbelievably rude and disrespectful. My daughter is a straight A student and has never had an issues at all until shes attended this school. I've never had any issues with any school that any of my children went to until this one. Its disgusting that the board of education allows the staff to act this way

After reading some reviews of my school i felt the need to clear some stuff up. Most teachers/staff WILL do something if your child is being bullied (i said most because some teachers/staff will just give them a warning). As for the drug part most of them are joking just for fun or attention (few 8th grades might do light drugs). As for the teachers there's probably only 1 that i can think of that's "bad". Lastly, the staff/teacher's encourage parent to visit and interact with the school (especially AVID teachers). Hope this cleared some stuff about my school!

This school is by far the worst school any 6-8th grader could go to I don't go to school much anymore because I can't go to school without getting bullied by teachers this one teacher in the school thinks I stole these blue headphones and he texted my dad let him know so my dad checked my room, pockets,locker, backpack I don't have them! This has been going on for a month now of a teacher harassing me and bullying me and administration does nothing All my advice is that NEVER EVEN TRY YOUR CHILD IN THIS SCHOOL THEY WILL GET BULLIED FROM THE MINUTE THEY WALK IN TO THE MINUTE THEY WALK OUT AND IF YOU'RE CHILD GOES THERE NOW ITS HAPPENING TO THEM NOW GET THEM OUT BEFORE ITS TOO LATE

If your child is zoned to this school please MOVE FAR AWAY. DO NOT LET YOUR CHILD GO THROUGH THE MISERY MINE WENT THROUGH. teachers insult students, curse in class, my daughters gym teacher took her phone and threw it on the ground . A iPhone at that. And my child has ADHD. They never cared. They laugh at her and mock her. There are students on drugs. Police are there everyday. Stay far away. It's worth the money to move

I am not sure how this school has a rating of 4 out of 5 when it is literally the worst school experience my child has had and I as a parent. The kids are bullies and nothing gets done about it and the STAFF is the worst! They want NO engagement with the parents and will avoid it at all cost. I have experienced this with the principal, assistant principle, deans office and the girls baskeball coach. My child had a problem with two bullies and my child went to an adult with the first complaint and NOTHING WAS DONE then some more kids from the same group started bullying her and they still wouldn't do anything until I had to go up there and let them know they better handle it. Now my daughter has passing grades to play sports and they are saying she doesn't so the girls coach decides to send my child a TEXT message kicking her off the team. I contacted the coach and instead of responding to me she yet again responded to my daughter via text to every question I asked her. Asked her if what they are saying is correct she she then again text my daughter saying talk to the principle about it. First of all you don't kick a kid off the team if they are ineligible you have them on bench probation until the next grade check! I urge anyone about to put their kids in this school to think twice. The worst experience EVER! Its an ongoing problem. THE STAFF IS RUDE AND SHOULDN'T BE AROUND CHILDREN and I say this for EVERY SINGLE PERSON I'VE COME ACROSS AT THIS HORRIFIC SCHOOL!
