This is just plain out the best school I've gone to by far. Sure the staff may be a little crazy at some point but they keep making us push beyond the limits. They have an IB program aka. International Baccalaureate. It's actually very helpful for kids. The food they serve here is not half bad. I actually feel pretty full when I'm done eating. Bathrooms are clean and it sure does look like a great school. To all the staff, keep doing what your doing... Sooner or later one of those students might just become the president of America one day...

Overall, my experience with Johnson Junior High School was positive. Being beneficial in assisting me enormously educational wise. one the most important aspect of this school to me is the English department. The English department has left a long-term effect on my life. When I first started this school, my writing skills were atrocious. As I kept going forward, I've gained more knowledge and techniques. The English teachers are astounding! Making me cherish writing editorials, stories, etc. This has aspired me to pursue a career in literature.
On the negative, Some of the students here or rude and racist. I feel like this most likely would occur any school you go, but it really affected me. As an African-American, it was very easy to be attacked or stereotyped by students, sometimes even with staff. As an African-American who tries to act intelligent, people really look at you in a negative light because of this. For example, people acclaim you for wanting to be a certain race because your not a stereotypical of your race.
Lastly, some teachers are exceptional while others are shameful. For example, my math teacher is such a kind person whom I could always come to and chat with about if I have a problem with math, and she would never be judgmental at all. Although, some teachers could be very unprofessional and criticize you if you do not understand a topic in their class.
Overall, Johnson is sorta astounding school. I had the pleasure to go here for the 6-8th grade and was an decent experience. Thank you.

This school is a living hell. It's only been one year and I'm already gonna transfer because I can't take it. Why? The students are ignorant, they put me in classes that are either too easy or too hard, their food is like dog food, and the staff are just either closed-minded or overall rude. For example, if you bump into a person in the hall and politely say sorry, they either push you back and cuss or keep walking with an angry expression. Another example, the students in most of my classes are not learning anything. The teachers teach us stuff we know and get mad when we don't copy down notes. It's because WE ALREADY HAVE THE SAME EXACT NOTES FROM LAST YEAR. Finally, the food is Papa John's Pizza, which personally I like, except for when its the pizza that customers forget to pick up in store and is left there for 2 days. I am deeply concerned about this because 80% of the kids eat the pizza and my friend even got food poisoning from it.
So what I'm getting at is.. this school ruins you. It messed with my attendance and education because of the ignorant teachers who don't mark a student as "here" or mix your grade up with someone else's. Because of this, I got 15 absences when I've only been gone 3 times this year. I also got my first C this year because of mix ups. All of this led me to not being able to transfer to the school of my dreams. In all honesty, I'd rather go to a 1 star school than this one. At least I'll be going to a 4 star school instead of a 3 star school. Thank you for ruining my education/life Johnson.

This school needs to chill out. I have some things to say about this school. One, I was sitting in a presentation from an author that came to our school once, and I was bored so I started bouncing my leg up and down very quietly. Then this teacher comes up behind me and yells at me for BOUNCING MY LEG. Second, I was walking to class one day and I accidentally bumped into this one kid, so he came up behind me and just shoved me for no reason whatsoever. He called me a B'word and then walked away. I ended up with a cut on my leg, which hurt like crazy. Third, there is so much drama at school. My friend got expelled the other day for getting into a fight with another kid, OVER A GIRL. Like literally! What the Heck! In all, I feel that this school is just going downhill.

I went to Johnson all through middle school. All 3 years we had a different amount of class. I love the teams I was on the archery and softball teams they are amazing. The curriculum was not the best but I did learn things. We were put on lock down one hard and one soft 2 times in 3 years. Last year cause of the lock down I didn't get home till 4:30 the next morning. I had to sleep on the cafeteria floor if I wanted to sleep cause people were taking up the tables. My sister is now a 6th grader there I am just hoping for the best and hoping that nothing bed happens. I also wish her and any future students there good luck on the 10 class block schedule.
