Clyde Ward is a prince of a guy. Their work and quality is great. I've seen numerous examples of it.

The store manager Chip is a very knowledgeable fellow with over 30 years experience. He hires and manages his own crew so he cuts out the middle man. This means his prices are very competitive with the big box stores, and he can usually beat them and give you much better service. They'll even honor installation matching the manufacturer's warranty which is unheard of as some manufacturers offer 25 years or more. Carpet One has been around long enough that it is believable they'll still be around in 25 years too versus some of the newer/smaller shops who all contract out the installation to the lowest bidder so it is a crap shoot on how the job will turn out.

I purchased flooring/grout with installation from Carpet One Lexington for $2342.70 with the understanding that it came with a 20 year warranty (that's what the brochure they gave me states). After 7 years, the grout had separated from the tile. Chip came out to 'test' the moisture and stated it passed and stated my house was 'settling'. He passed it on to Mannington and after 6 long months, neither company has done anything to try and rectify the situation. Chip actually said ' It's not that noticeable"! I had purchased laminate from them the year prior for $1400.00 and expected they would try to provide some customer service after giving them my business twice. This has not been the case. BEWARE!!!!

Wonderful group of friendly, knowledgeable professionals with decades of experience in the industry. As a small business owner myself, we send clients to them often because I know they are always in good hands at Carpet One. Keep up the great work!
