Great pastries, especially to die for : maple and walnut scones (actually, all of the various types of scones - very unique) and brownies without nuts (wonderful balance between cakes and chewy). The apple pie is tasty but has way too much crust and their quiches are all good except for the one with broccoli. The whole or half chicken while a little pricey is normally juicy, also the ribs (fall-off-bones tender and pretty lean considering they’re ribs). However, the cons have to do with their vegetables, which are often too salty or sour (e.g., kale, string beans, cole slaw, etc.). Also, my teenage house guest could not eat her grilled cheese sandwich - not typical cheese. I generally steer away from their sandwiches since they’re too different from what I’m accustomed to. All in all, a good place to go to. My main criticism has to do with the food needing to be more healthful.

Great spot for a quick and casual bite for breakfast or lunch. Reminded me of a place you'd find in Williamsburg but with a Chevy Chase DC crowd. Due breakfast sandwich options and 4 lunch (starts at 11 am) sandwich options.

Incredible cafe/eatery/coffee shop/grocery store. This little establishment in Friendship Heights has it all. Unique beers are sold, delicious cinnamon buns are baked, and made-to-order breakfast sandwiches are gobbled down. Grab a coffee and explore, there is something for everyone here.

If you haven't tried it, you should. Delicious and nutritious. Good coffee and tea. Tasty desserts. Can be crowded and hard to sit. Small crowded parking lot or on-street. Hole in the wall, filled with good people and tasty food.
