Luby's

Don't let the looks of the food mislead you! I've had 2 experiences at Luby's and both were nasty. The cabbages were hard and tasted like plastic. The liver was tolerable but my children both hated the catfish. The rice and gravy was plain. Our desserts tasted like they came out of a cardboard box after being refrozen. I once went with my cousin and she and I both didn't like the food but I gave it another try. I'll probably never go back. I paid over $15 per person for cold, nasty, hard food. I even got charged .39 for 1 olive. It looks appetizing but I'd rather have KFC instead.

I had to come all the way to Jackson to enjoy Luby's, and it was well worth the trip. They continue to have delicious lunch and dinner options, most comfort food, but also with tempting desserts. My favorite dessert throughout the years has been the Lemon Icebox Pie, and it still doesn't disappoint. I will have to come down again to enjoy another dinner with friends.

The food was delicious but what blew me away was the people that work there. They were the nicest and caring people I've ever seen at a restaurant. Thanks for making a difference we will definitely be back and we will spread the word. Thanks Rick

Cafeteria style, large servings, great customer service, and the food is delicious all at a decent price
