Great location. Located in the quiet Lyon Village neighborhood, with beautiful homes and plenty of sidewalk space. Right next to Lyon Village park, with tennis/basketball courts. Across the street from a Giant, CVS, and Walgreens. 10-12 minute walk from downtown Clarendon, where you can find a Whole Foods, bars/restaurants, and the Clarendon metro station. Just down the street from a Mom's Organic Market. I found the complex to be very quiet, and the other tenants were very respectful. The office manager, Faye, was very helpful and kind. The maintenance team was very responsive, and requests were usually completed within 24 hours. The outside of the complex is very nice-looking, with brick buildings and trees surrounding the property. I lived in a one-bedroom apartment and found it to be very spacious. The kitchens are very large lots of counter space and have modern appliances, including an in-unit washer/dryer and a gas stove with hood. The units have original parquet wood flooring. The doors have arched tops, which adds a nice touch. Note that this means the walls are plaster as opposed to drywall, so it is more difficult to mount heavy items on the wall. The price is very competitive. I easily paid $200-$400 less per month compared to similar or lower quality 1 bedroom apartments in the area. Having water, sewage, trash, gas, AND parking included in the base rent is incredibly rare for Arlington you just have to pay rent, electricity, and internet. The units are heated using radiators gas, so you don't have to pay for heating in the winter. Guest parking is free, and there's always plenty of overflow space across the street at the Giant parking lot. Overall, I had a great time living here, and would recommend it to anyone looking for a quiet place to live at a good price.
I lived here from 2014-2016. Great place to live! The management under Faye and the maintenance team headed up by Ruel are great to work with. They have the right attitude and are very responsive. The community courtyard is beautiful to walk through. Truly a gem in the middle of Arlington close to Clarendon metro, Starbucks, Giant, Italian Store, CVS, Walgreens and a short drive to I-66 and GW Parkway!
Faye in the property management office is lovely and very easy to work with. The maintenance staff has also been very helpful and quick to respond the few times I've needed them; I've been in my apartment for years. The location is great! Near the highway and walkable to the metro. The apartments are affordable considering what you'd pay just a quarter mile away and I haven't had any trouble with parking.
Lyon Village Apartments is a hidden gem located in the heart of Arlington. Geographically located a little over 10 minutes from either the Clarendon or Court House metro stations, the apartments reside in a nice, classic residential neighborhood very central to I-66 and Spout Run Parkway which gives you access to Georgetown in under 10 minutes via car. While many have been renovated, the apartments still retain much of their mid-20th century charm - which includes beautiful hardwood floors and spacious closets. Additionally, the internal grounds are always immaculately kept, which creates a tranquil courtyard space for residents. I highly recommend LVA to potential residents looking for an affordable, classic, and centrally located apartment very close to DC. From the front office staff to the maintenance crew, the LVA staff are great to work with and are very invested in the community they actually live there. I've liked LVA so much that I've actually lived there two times for over a combined five years. And that evidence is the most ringing endorsement I can give...
The manager is extremely rude and has made my move out process a nightmare. She keeps trying to charge me for junk hauling that was not mine. Apartments are crawling with cockroaches. Steer clear.
