If You want to make shopping in Boston, then I recommend this place which is selling every thing you are looking for. I like the quality of material and all perfumes are authentic. I missed 15% discount offers but in August there will be another offers. Nice location, in Washington str.
Your typical Macy’s and that’s a good thing. Do you know what to expect when you walk in. Lots of good deals during Thanksgiving. Well organized. I wish the bathroom was on the first floor. It was nice and warm inside and everyone seem happy
This is for the shoe department only: The mens shoes salesman ignored me for roughly 40mins while I looked at the shoes. I finally took the display shoes down from the shelf and tried them on because they happened to be my size. Meanwhile he is still ignoring me. What really irritated me though, was when a young man walked up and the salesman looked at him and said he would be right with him after he finished with the couple he was working with. Now, I completely understand waiting your turn, people being super busy and understaffed. However, to not even say hello, I’ll be right with you or asking if you needed help in between grabbing shoes from the back, is just terrible costumer service. This was just a mind blowing experience. I had picked 2 pairs of shoes that I was going to buy, but left them on the counter and walked away. Something that also shocked me, I walked over to the casual shoe area with the sneakers and such to ask for help. I was told the by sales associate that she was contracted just for Finishline shoes and couldn’t help with any other departments. I will say the manager I spoke to after the fact, was very, very nice and if I have a different experience with shoes next time, I will update the review. As of now though, I’m so saddened at how far the Downtown Crossing Macy’s has fallen. When I moved here 5 years ago, it almost felt like you were going into the NYC store spirit wise. Everyone said hello, asked you if you needed help and didn’t treat you like a burden because you were in the store. The other bright side I’ve had in the store, besides the kindness in the management team, was the furniture department. I was able to find a sofa that I’m going to get when I move. It wasn’t crowded, if this continues we might not have a Macy’s in Downtown if they cut more stores, which to me would be a real shame.
This Macys is simply huge and you will find different brands and clothing there. Amazing place.
I have been a customer at Macy’s for as long as I can remember but this was the first time that I had gone to the Boston location Macy’s. I wasn’t greeted by someone at all, and the only person that asked if I needed help with anything was one of the men’s department suit section employees. I do however typically find what I’m looking for as I am familiar with clothing and shoes and Macy’s in general. Macy’s usually has really great sales and that day they did have a great sales going on so we lucked out with that. I will continue to shop at Macy’s, and I always suggest Macys to friends and family!
The legendary Macy's brand continues to thrive at the Chain's Boston store located at 450 Washington Street, Boston MA, just steps away from Downtown Crossing. The store has three enormous, well appointed floors of merchandise, goods and services that includes an outlet store within the main store. Cleverly called Macy's "Backstage", its mission is summed up as: "Off Price." "On Trend." "Arriving Daily." In addition to the unbeatable buys offered at Macy's Backstage , customers at the Boston store can seamlessly continue their shopping experience, whether it be for a single item or a broad array of merchandise, goods and service ranging from Men's, Women's and Children's top fashion brands to a wide variety of housewares, gifts, cosmetics, fine jewelry and furniture. Macy's Boston has always been and proudly remains a true reflection of the iconic retailing brand established in 1857 by R.H. Macy as the "Great American Department Store. "
This should be the place with the best price, many discounts and few people. The experience is very good
A beautiful historic location marred by some mismanagement. The store is generally disorganized and it's difficult to find help unless you happed to be shopping for fragrance/makeup. Frequently there are piles of clothes in locations waiting to be arranged, large trash and recycling being wheeled through the store during operating hours. This location screams potential. Would like to see this flagship location clean up a bit or be replaced by new management or a new store entirely. Three for the great location and decent selection and for the few staff that are genuine.
I have shopped at this location forever and very frequently. The best employees and the best quality merchandise. Very organized neat and very clean. Love this store.
Feels like a house of mirrors, but brighter and bigger. Easy to get lost Nice and helpful employees. Good for casual/normal clothing and fancier clothing.
