Maloney's Sports Bar & Grill

Note: I have not personally eaten here only gotten drinks. The outside patio is a great spot during the warmer times including decent views of old Overland Park. Pretty good drink specials including wells and domestics. They also have an upstairs bar and sitting area with additional patio seating. I have never had issues with service either. Definitely a cool little spot.

It's a clean place with good food. I've never had a bad waitress. They have ample tvs for watching games. It's a pretty good place to go to and I can see why it's so popular. My only complaint is that they don't have chili cheese fries. They have cheese, fries, and chili - why not sell it together? As good as their chili is, that would be sooo good there.

Staff was super friendly which is why I'm giving 3 stars. Our waitress was attentive in refilling drinks and getting our orders processed through in good time! I ordered nachos. The espinaca sauce was not hot, it was almost hard on the plate. There was very little beef and the jalapenos had no flavor and no heat. I would not recommend this as a place for appetizers and food. Although the staff and atmosphere was good. I enjoyed meeting with friends and seeing the Olympics. If you're going for food... Maybe another place would be better.

The food was good and I really like all the outdoor seating but I do not think I will go back due to what happened upon our departure. The neighboring business owner had all the cars towed out of his lot even though none of the businesses in front of the spaces were open for business having closed at 5:00. The result was an expensive Uber ride home as our car was taken and then $256 to get the car back from the crook of a townig company (Pro Tow) who confiscated it. Apparently this happens all the time, especially on crowded nights. As such it would have been a nice gesture for the waitress or other personnel to warn their patrons of the rather large issue they are having with their neighboring business and to not let their customers get caught up in their feud. The consensus in our group was no one will attempt to go back until such time as this issue with the next door business is worked out so that the patrons of the restaurant aren't the ones paying the price.

Good neighborhood sports bar. It's usually pretty packed and can be loud. However, we often take the kids for dinner (earlier in the evening). The chicken strips (with or without buffalo sauce) are super tasty and inexpensive. I usually get the French Dip. The rooftop seating is supposed to be fun when the weather allows
