I've been coming here for a couple of times now. The library is tucked away in a nice shaded and quite area off on San Jose blvd. It's been awhile since I've visited a public library and I was really impressed with this Mandarin branch. There's plenty of parking and easy to access.
This library has been here for a long time but the building is well kept and clean. The front desk lady is so nice and friendly, she's always smiling at us when we enter every time. There's a section in the center where they display art works from elementary and middle school students that are so cute and artistic. My little one loves looking at these art work as he browses through the children books section.
Story time at this branch for kids from birth to 5 years of age is so great for my little one. He also loves to play in the social area with other kids. They also get to do art and crafts after story time and get to bring home their creations every time. This program is so fun yet educational for kids of all ages.

We’ve been going to the Mandarin Branch of the library for a few months now. The librarians are all very helpful and it’s always been a nice, quiet place when we go. My husband went at night to study when he was taking classes and found it a very peaceful environment. The library is a wonderful resource. It’s very easy to place books on hold using the website, and although there is an app now it’s a little buggy. Don’t forget that you can check out ebooks digital audiobooks with your library card!

If I had a choice, I would not come to this library. No matter what time you go to the library, there are always screaming children in the back. It is understandable that children enjoy playtime;however, at all other libraries I've been to nationwide, they teach the children to be quieter because it's the library. Here, they just run around like crazy!! Additionally, young teens are always playing video games on the computers and talking across the room about their quests or what have you. Only one lady here will tell them to stop. Adults talk on their phones, and it seems as though people generally do not care about being quiet. For college students, like myself, we come to the library to study and catch up on our schoolwork. I've tried to come to this location, and simply cannot concentrate with the noise level being so high. I'm not trying to be too negative, but I simply do not recommend this library. I come in for no more than ten minutes before I have to run out the door.

My best place to be close by but I can hide from my hubby ( who had dementia). When I feel like I am coming apart at the seams

This branch is disgusting. It is not suitable for children and I will be reporting to the health department. They have bugs everywhere in their carpet! It is the worst library I have been to on this end of town. We will never return. I beg you to keep your kids away from this cesspool.
