I've purchased 6 bikes from the Hackettstown store in the past 10 years (3 Specialized and 3 Treks) for my kids. The tecnicians are all very friendly and knowledgeable. I am very satisfied with their service every time i bring the bikes in for basic tune-ups. I never had any major problems with any of the bikes i bought except for the most recent Trek that i got. There was a small noise coming from the pedal assembly which gets really annoying on long rides. I brought it to Marty's and they diagnosed the problem as coming from a part that they had to order from Shimano. They fixed the bike after the part came and now the bike runs quietly. They told me that the bike is still under warranty and did not charge me anything for parts and service. I was really satisfied. That's why i keep coming back to them. 5 stars!

If you're just looking to buy a bike or do a tune up, it is OK I guess but the staff is clueless and they lie to you. I took my bike 3 times to get fixed and the same problem was never fixed and they tried to sell me a low end derailleur claiming it is better than the one I have and it is the best Shimano for 9-speed while a simple search on-line shows that it is not the case. The best one is they told me that I should never shift gear when going uphill!

I haven't been to the other locations yet, but I can say that I love going to the Hackettstown location. I'm still very new to the whole biking world, and they put up with questions from me that I'm sure are beyond basic, but they never show annoyance at any of it. They help me understand what I'm doing, what I should be looking for, and even steer me away from stuff that won't help me out. Can't say enough good about them.

Best bike shop around! The staff is knowledgeable, helpful, and listens to your needs. Prices are competitive, selection is good, and the mechanics are phenomenal.
