Matteo's of Boca Raton

Considering the a la carte prices charged by the restaurant, one would expect top notch food and service. Sadly, this isn't the case here. Entrees are too fiddling to be considered fine food, and a far cry from Italian. Employees and servers seem to take good care of some, but not all patrons. We were on the unfortunate list. The loud atmosphere and poor decoration resembles a club dining room, rather than a serious restaurant. Tables too close close and tight space to move, didn't motivate us too much, forcing our departure earlier than expected. Caution: When paying with Credit Card, I strongly advise to check the bill before signing the slip. There could be an additional "surprise" to the already included 20% service charge. I cannot and won't recommend this restaurant for true upscale dining.

Where do I start? Perhaps by mentioning the restaurant has every thinkable feature of a bad restaurant.Weird place, and very loud. Worse than a high school cafeteria at lunch. Fine, classy Italian dining? Please...This place doesn't stand a minimum chance. How about an overpriced table mill with cheap quality food which is not Italian.. Plain nasty and disrespectful waiters and staff, dirty restrooms, audacious service charge of 20% on every check....The insulting list goes on. Make no mistake this isn't a place to eat smart. In fact it makes a fool out of those who pay an arm and a leg to dine this bad.

I've given this restaurant too many opportunities to show that perhaps, somehow they can manage to prepare good food and provide decent service. Every time they've disappointed us, and there's no effort or desire to improve and change for better. Overly ecpensive, average food, focused on quantity rather than quality. It seems some folks are satisfied with this set up, but for people accustomed to good food, his restaurant is completely unacceptable.

Couldn't have picked a worse place to take my mother to dinner. It was a nefarious experience. Service slow and rude, they took over 30 minutes to bring the appetizers, and immediately after, the mains were slammed on our table. No explanation, and the waiter turned around and left. The food leaves a lot to be desired and is not cooked the Italian way, missing flavor and spices. However, prices are exaggerated and out of proportion. This isn't a restaurant to consider for good dining.

Displeased. Loud, irritating place, indifferent staff and service. Food is very marginal, in terms of quality and preparation. Excessive pricing for such mediocre experience.
