Good home cooking for very fair prices. Nice variety on menu. Had the 3 piece dark chicken with the mac and cheese and apple sauce. Creamy mac and cheese! Extra crispy skin on chicken. Super moist. Homemade applebutter and peanut butter on table.

One of the worst restaurant experiences I have had in Sarasota. Estimate it was 1/3 to 1/2 full. Took 5 minutes to be seated, needed to clean a table despite low number of customers, 10 minutes to take order and 25 minutes to receive meal...cold. Eggs were well done, asked for over easy. Pancakes and syrup ice cold, sausage small, cold and greasy, and the home fry potatoes were awful. No taste, kinda stuck together, and looked liked scalloped potatoes from last night's menu. It was also very over=priced. Will not be going there again, needless to say. I would head to Awful House before this greasy spoon.

Would be better if they offered breakfast items throughout the day. This is the type of restaurant you expect to be able to get a waffle anytime you want. However they have the best roasted chicken on the planet. And the waitresses look pretty cute with their bonnets.

Jan 2018. Good parking. Very good restrooms. Amish style with other items to purchase. Great wait staff. Roomy, clean comfortable seating. No fake country Dutch here...the workers and patrons reflect that. Expect bland mid US fare similar to Bob Evans but much of it is home made. The fried okra special was almost the best I've had. Turkey is the real thing. The pie we had was excellent. Real well made iced tea. go...eat

It was nice. Very clean, service was good. Value was decent. I had a hamburger which seemed like a frozen patty, nothing special. The soda fountain is not set right so very strong syrup taste...unpleasant. desserts were very yummy. Mom has the chocolate cake and it was to die for. If we go back it will only be for dessert.
