I love Michigan State Parks, but who knew we had one of the best ones right here in Lapeer county. The water is beautiful. We had an awesome site overlooking the lake. We were also able to launch our kayaks straight from our camp sight. We have traveled to campgrounds all over Michigan but we will definitely come back to this little gem that’s so close to home.

Love the campground, but finding a level lot can be tricky.  Best to check it out in advance.
