Camp Dearborn

We can't afford a big enough camper to fit 4 people. We are camping with our teenage grandsons so wanted to use a tent for them while we sleep in the 1 bed camper. This campground refused to allow us to let them stay in a tent on the same lot as our camper. What a shame that they will do anything to make an extra buck trying to make you lease another camp site just for the kids to stay in a tent! You would think they would be supportive of adults who are trying to keep track of what their teenage boys are doing in the middle of the night instead of separating them!

Beautiful campground. I wish we would have been informed about park reservations at the time of our reservation of an event they were having. We had to pack up and leave by a certain day. Then we were told we could come back but when I inquired for what period of time, I was again informed we would have to move the following weekend.

Nice park with lots of space, they could do so much more to make it a destination park. Opens in April but concession doesn't open till school is out. Shower fixtures should be upgraded, many fire pits need attention although they are adding new pits in the no full hookup sites.

The tents were decent but needed a lot of repairs. The shared fire pit was great when you had good neighbors, but sometimes were a bit much when the family drama came out . If you are looking for real camping this is far from it. This is best for a family with young ones or if you have people with you that not outdoorsy and took the step to venture out of their comfort zone.

My wife and I really enjoy camp Dearborn, we go there every year just as a quick getaway. We take our grandson during the month of October. For their Halloween activities. Great place very fun
