We were traveling through the area in January and wanted to "look" at the lake. Of course, it was frozen solid but at least I can add it to my list of great lakes I have visited. It was fun to get to see the locals going out to their ice shacks which seemed like they were a long ways out on the lake. The park looked like it would be a fantastic place during the summer with lots of amenities for picnics, beach time and enjoying the natural area.

I love this park. Great staff. The tours the nature center does with kids are great to show kids and even some adults that the natural world is worth keeping clean and protected.

Nice place. Ran through. Walked the beach. People out with family, dogs. Saw people fishing. The beach and water looking cleaner.

My boys and i had a wonderful time. We played at the splash park first, then we played in the big crashing waves and ended our adventure on the huge wooden play ground. We cant wait to go again

Water is dirty, beach is not very sandy. Lots of room to roam though. Mediocre at best. Too many better options in this beautiful state.
