I absolutely love this trail! I have biked all portions of it, starting at the Mahaffie Center and terminating at the Kansas River. The trail offers many fun side routes, along with diverse views and scenery along the way. I would highly recommend detouring into Shawnee Mission Park while traveling the trail. Also, when north of Shawnee Mission Park, divert east on the trail for great views from atop of Blue Bird Hill. The trail from Mahaffie to the river is around 19 miles total, and makes for a great day hike. Be prepared for some steep hills along portions, but none too demanding.

This was the best find of late 2016 and 2017 definitely if you like to ride bikes or take walks this is the place for you. I think it's like 15 or 16 miles worth of cool trails that go along the Mill Creek Running North and South through basically Johnson County. I think the best part about it is they have restrooms at every I don't know mile or two. It's also very scenic and paved. But you feel like you're still out in the woods. It's also has a lot of bicyclists at times. The access point at Midland Drive has the incredibly cool mountainish trail that goes up kind of high. Definitely my favorite part of the Mill Creek streamway parks.

I love taking short walks on a cool breezy day! Just watch out for the bikers if you are walking/jogging/running. I was taken a picture here this was my last walk before I gave birth at full term in February 2017. I was already getting contractions after this walk I guess the ups and downs from the trail really kicked in!

We were visiting Kansas City and looking for a nice long bike trail. I'm on the mend, so was hoping for something not overly rugged or challenging. The Gary Haller trail at Mill Creek Streamway park did not disappoint! It was one of the most beautiful trails I've biked — and that says a lot since I come from the greatest bike city in the US! (Minneapolis) We rode through beautiful wooded areas, across cool bridges and by gorgeous fields of wild flowers. It was also paved for our whole ride (we got as far as 7 miles one way; 14 round trip). If I lived local, I'd bike there every weekend!
