Great resource! A rails-to-trail for walking, running, biking. I've started at mile zero and have gone to about mile 8. Passed through an old railroad tunnel around mile 7. Early part is fairly flat. Port a potty every so often. Could use them more frequently. Even fewer water fountains which aren't on in the winter or early spring. The trail could use some maintenance in areas where it had some ruts and puddles.

This is a great trail for running, hiking, biking, or just talking a walk with friends or family. The trail is well maintained and they try to make sure that it is always repaired after mother nature starts making it erode.

Great place for a long hike, or a family walk. Run a heavy workout, or ride for days. Trail side camping and even some restaurants border the trail. There are also a number of scout sponsored Eagle projects to make your Montour Trail much more enjoyable, such as picnic grottos, bike repair stations, and other conservation attractions.
