It’s an ok trail. I’ve ridden most of the trails that are over 10 miles in southwestern PA and compared to those that have an asphalt surface the Stavich Bike Trail has some issues, particularly with surface quality in some areas. There are trails that are more scenic as well. There are many crushed limestone trails that ride much better than this trail in some sections. With a little attention this could be a great trail.

Wonderful paved trail and one of the oldest in the country. Founded 1983! Well-maintained in Pennsylvania but getting a bit worn in the Ohio sections. Really nice in that it has a few mild climbs on it - it's not completely flat. Formerly an Interurban trolley line between New Castle and Youngstown. Check out The Station Grill at Melillo's Tavern in Lowellville for an old business that's been recently refurbished in an authentic period style. If you're doing the full trail you'll ride right by it.

A nice 10 mile paved scenic trail. On hot days make sure to bring enough to drink. Once you reach Struthers ohio you will find a store to buy food and drinks.

The stretch from New.Castle to the Ohio line is awesome, once into Ohio the trail needs some TLC, it becomes quite rough. But overall a very nice trail.
