Motel 6 Sidney, OH

Excellent motel for the price...a great value! Kevin, who both checked us in at night and checked us out in the morning, is very friendly and helpful....seemed to enjoy his responsibilities. The modern amenities in the room made for a spacious, efficient stay. I particularly like the laminate flooring throughout and the wall mounted lighting along with the built in towel storage. The king size bed made for a good night’s sleep. We will stay again overnight in late July as we again travel north from East Tennessee. My wife and I recommend this Motel 6!

As long as you don't expect much, you won't be disappointed. The daytime desk woman was VERY friendly, helpful and accommodating. The night person could use more training on safety and company liability. We came in and the front lobby floor was wet, though because of the normal floor shine, you couldn't tell and there was no wet floor sign posted. I slipped a couple of inches - that's how we knew the floor was wet. I talked with him about the danger, liability, my personal risk (softer bones than normal), OSHA, changing habits like putting the sign up just BEFORE mopping. I think he understands. Appreciate that the hotel is pet-friendly, even though we didn't bring our dog. It's nice the towels are changed and trash emptied daily, but that is an expectation of any hotel even the cheap ones. Why isn't anyone sweeping the room floors, cleaning the bathroom, or making the beds? It would go a long way toward a friendlier cleaner stay. The rooms overall were in good shape. Appreciated the loudness of the air conditioner to provide white noise to drown out parking lot and hallway noise. I have DEFINITELY stayed in much much nicer Motel 6s at an equivalent or nearly so rate. Do better.

The building is kept up nicely with very clean and somewhat newly renovated rooms. Most of the staff I've come in contact with were friendly and helpful. My first impression of the night manager though, made me uncomfortable. He came off... strict. He mentioned about 7 different times during my check in that they allow ABSOLUTELY NO visitors and he has over 20 cameras. Overall, was satisfied with my experience.

The room was pretty nice, but some things were not so good. The chain on the door, for instance was broken, and the hallways felt super creepy and dank. Not terrible for the price, but the Motel 6 in Lima felt nicer since it didn't have the hotel-like interior.

The room was clean but seemed bare without a desk, hallways were filthy, front desk lady was very accommodating, wished there was a hair dryer
